Assessing Ethnic Prejudice Moral Disengagement and Intercultural Sensitivity in Middle Childhood: Development and Pilot Use of an AI‐Supported Narrative Instrument

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Education, Volume 61, Issue 2, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Middle childhood represents a crucial developmental stage in which ethnic biases often emerge and solidify, potentially leading to peer exclusion or harassment. Recent research highlights the role of moral disengagement in ethnic‐related harassment and identifies intercultural competences as crucial for counteracting prejudicial peer ...

PharmVar GeneFocus: NAT2—Genetic Variation and Updated Nomenclature

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, Volume 119, Issue 4, Page 859-871, April 2026.
The Pharmacogene Variation Consortium (PharmVar) provides nomenclature for the highly polymorphic human N‐acetyltransferase 2 (NAT2) gene. NAT2 metabolizes several clinically used drugs including isoniazid, hydralazine, amifampridine, procainamide, and sulfonamides such as dapsone, and also some highly carcinogenic arylamines.

Damping Modification Factors for Pile–Induced Filtering Effect

open access: yesEarthquake Engineering &Structural Dynamics, Volume 55, Issue 4, Page 907-925, 10 April 2026.
ABSTRACT Period–dependent Damping Modification Factors are usually applied to the 5%–damped pseudo–acceleration response spectrum at free field conditions to derive the seismic demand for structures with damping ratio other than 5%. Likewise, the response spectrum at the foundation level of pile–supported structures may differ from the free field ...

Green Hydrogels Based on Spirulina Pl. Polysaccharides and Carboxymethyl Cellulose for Atenolol Pharmaceutical Compound Removal from Wastewaters

open access: yesChemistrySelect, Volume 11, Issue 16, 27 April 2026.
The synthesis and characterization of green, environmentally and economically sustainable hydrogel adsorbents is reported, while its efficiency towards the removal of atenolol is evaluated by batch adsorption experiments. Thermally‐triggered esterification reaction between citric acid and the biopolymers led to development of highly efficient, water ...

From Extension to Strike‐Slip Faulting Along the Western Continuation of the North Anatolian Fault in the Northern Aegean Sea: Structural, Geochronological and Geochemical Constraints

open access: yesTectonics, Volume 45, Issue 4, April 2026.
Abstract The Northern Aegean region preserves a complex deformation pattern shaped by Miocene extension driven by retreat of the Hellenic subduction system, later overprinted by Plio–Pleistocene transtension linked to the westward propagation of the North Anatolian Fault (NAF). Although numerous structural, geophysical and geochronological studies have

Exploring the role of exogenous salicylic acid in cereals resilience to water deficit stress: Advances and challenges

open access: yesAgronomy Journal, Volume 118, Issue 2, March/April 2026.
Abstract Salicylic acid (SA) is an elicitor of abiotic stress tolerance in plants, but a comparative analysis of its effects across cereals remains under‐explored. This review article assesses the literature on the biological functioning of exogenous SA application (foliar‐ or root‐applied) in water‐stressed cereals.
