Quaternary International, 2013Abstract The study investigated the geometry, seismicity and kinematics of the Kirklareli Fault (KF) by using drilling, seismic reflection and field data. The KF, located in the Thrace Region, NW Turkey, is a buried fault that forms a morphological boundary between the Strandzha Mountains and the Ergene Basin.

Lichens of the thrace region of Turkey
2019This paper gives the distribution of lichens in the Thrace region determined in this study and in nine previous studies as well. The genus Placidiopsis (Verrucariaceae) is recorded for the first time in Turkey and thirty-three of the species are recorded for the first time for the region.

Evaluation of Thrace Region fine coal tailings
2017The 79.9% of lignites in Turkey possesses a calorific value lower than 2500 kcal/kg. In order to reduce the energy dependence of the country, it would be right to evaluate these lignite reserves of 11.8 billion tons by effective coal preparation methods and use them with clean coal combustion systems together with developing technology.
