A Study of the Consumption of Sewing Threads for Women's Underwear: Bras and Panties [PDF]

open access: yesAUTEX Research Journal, 2020
The article evaluates the amount of the consumed sewing thread for women's underwear (underwear bras and panties). Based on the obtained findings, it was concluded that sewing thread amount depends enormously on the studied influential parameters.

Sewing Thread Consumption for Chain Stitches of Class 400 using Geometrical and Multilinear Regression Models [PDF]

open access: yesAUTEX Research Journal, 2021
This work deals with determination of rapid and precise methods to predict the amount of sewing thread needed to sew a garment using different chain stitches of the class 400 (from 401 to 407 chain stitches).

Regression model to predict thread consumption incorporating thread-tension constraint: study on lock-stitch 301 and chain-stitch 401 [PDF]

open access: yesFashion and Textiles, 2014
AbstractPrediction of sewing thread consumption requires an accurate method of calculation since it relates to the cost of manufacturing and distribution of apparel products. Previous researchers highlighted problems in existing thread consumption calculation methods; i.e.

Improving the Power Consumption of Thread Mesh Networks Through Genetic Algorithm Optimization

open access: yesIEEE Sensors Letters
Reliability is a constraint of low-power wireless connectivity, commonly addressed by the deployment of mesh topology. Accordingly, power consumption becomes a major concern during the design and implementation of such networks. Thus, a mono-objective optimization was implemented in this work to decrease the total amount of power consumed by a low ...

Prediction of Sewing Thread Consumption for Over-Edge Stitches Class 500 Using Geometrical and Multi-Linear Regression Models

open access: yesAUTEX Research Journal, 2021
Rapid and precise methods (geometrical and statistical), which aim to predict the amount of sewing thread needed to sew a garment using different over-edge stitches of class 500 (501, 503, 504, 505, 512, 514, 515, and 516), have been provided.

The Detection of Thread Roll’s Margin Based on Computer Vision

open access: yesSensors, 2021
The automatic detection of the thread roll’s margin is one of the kernel problems in the textile field. As the traditional detection method based on the thread’s tension has the disadvantages of high cost and low reliability, this paper proposes a ...

A Low-Level Virtual Machine Just-In-Time Prototype for Running an Energy-Saving Hardware-Aware Mapping Algorithm on C/C++ Applications That Use Pthreads

open access: yesEnergies, 2023
Low-Level Virtual Machine (LLVM) compiler infrastructure is a useful tool for building just-in-time (JIT) compilers, besides its reliable front end represented by a clang compiler and its elaborated middle end containing different optimizations that ...

Evaluation of Residence Time on Nitrogen Oxides Removal in Non-Thermal Plasma Reactor. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2015
Non-thermal plasma (NTP) has been introduced over the last few years as a promising after- treatment system for nitrogen oxides and particulate matter removal from diesel exhaust. NTP technology has not been commercialised as yet, due to its high rate of
