A new pattern for flexible worker threads with in-place consumption message queues
ACM SIGOPS Operating Systems Review, 2005We present a new pattern for implementing worker threads that is more flexible than traditional patterns. Traditional worker threads receive command messages with enumerated IDs that refer to pre-defined behaviors. In our new pattern, worker threads receive function pointers, and they have only one behavior: invoke the function.

World production and consumption of polyester fibres and thread
Fibre Chemistry, 2006In the last 20 years, PES fibres and thread have developed at very high tempos (by 7.2% a year on average). The share of PES fibres and thread in Asia is 64.6% of the world level for chemical fibres. China is still the unconditional leader, where production of PES fibres from 2004 to 2008 will increase from 11.5 to 18.5 million tons.

Further Studies on Balance and Thread Consumptions of Lock‐stitch Seams
International Journal of Clothing Science and Technology, 1993Studies the effect of thread tension and the stitch length, L, as well as the fabric thickness, t, and its compressive modulus, E, on the seam balance and total thread consumption.

EXAMINING THE EFFECTS OF FABRIC THICKNESS ON SEWING THREAD CONSUMPTION
2013In (his study. sewing thread consllmption, one of the major cost expenses, is examined. The purpose of the study is to examine the effects of fabric thickness on sewing thread consumplion. The accurate ly determin ing of sewing thread consumption re lated to fabri c thickness and applying i( (0 the production.

CALCULATING THE AMOUNT OF SEWING THREAD CONSUMPTION FOR DIFFERENT TYPES OF FABRICS AND STITCH TYPES
2014Nowadays, increasing competition in apparel industry forces the firms to produce with optimum costs. Even minimum increase in costs leads to important results. Sewing threads which is one of the most used auxiliary materials in apparel industry is also an important expense item.

ESTIMATING THREAD CONSUMPTION FOR A PARTCULAR SEAM IN THE GARMENT SEWING PROCESS
