Use of tocolytics for the treatment of threatened preterm labor
Pharmaceutical Chemistry Journal, 19931. It has been shown experimentally and clinically that salbupart possesses a marked inhibitory action on uterine contractile activity. In a clinical study the effectiveness of salbupart therapy of threatened preterm labor was 75% which is close to the effectiveness of partusisten (80%). 2. Salbupart is not embryotoxic or teratogenic.

Threatened preterm labor (tPTL) is a complication of pregnancy. Identification of women and clinical definition differs between countries. This study investigated differences in tPTL and effectiveness of vaginal progesterone to prevent preterm birth (PTB) between two countries.Secondary analysis of a randomized controlled trial (RCT) from Argentina and

Terbutaline pump maintenance therapy after threatened preterm labor for preventing preterm birth
Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, 2002Women with preterm labor that is arrested with tocolytic therapy are at increased risk of recurrent preterm labor. Terbutaline pump maintenance therapy has been given to such women to decrease the risk of recurrent preterm labor, preterm birth, and its consequences. To determine the effectiveness and safety of terbutaline pump maintenance therapy after ...

[Treatment of threatened preterm labor with partusisten and salbupart].
Vestnik Akademii meditsinskikh nauk SSSR, 1990Comparative trials of two tocolytic preparations, salbupart (Polfa) and partusisten, showed their high efficacy (75 and 80 per cent, respectively). The success of management depends on the outcome of the preceding pregnancies, the course of current pregnancy in the 1st and 2nd trimesters, the cervical status, and extent of therapy.

Life-Threatening Complications of Betamimetic Therapy for Preterm Labor Inhibition
Clinics in Perinatology, 1986Betamimetic administration for inhibition of preterm labor can result in a number of severe complications for the mother.
