Curriculum vitae of CUG binding protein 1 (CELF1) in homeostasis and diseases: a systematic review

open access: yesCellular & Molecular Biology Letters
RNA-binding proteins (RBPs) are kinds of proteins with either singular or multiple RNA-binding domains (RBDs), and they can assembly into ribonucleic acid–protein complexes, which mediate transportation, editing, splicing, stabilization, translational ...

Advancements in Carbon‐Based Piezoelectric Materials: Mechanism, Classification, and Applications in Energy Science

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Carbon‐based piezoelectric materials are systematically categorized based on their structural and functional properties. The mechanisms of stress‐induced charge transfer are elucidated, and their applications are explored across three key domains: piezoelectric catalysis for energy conversion and environmental remediation, piezoelectric biomedical ...

An Overview of Computer security [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2001
As more business activities are being automated and an increasing number of computers are being used to store vital and sensitive information the need for secure computer systems becomes more apparent. These systems can be achieved only through systematic design; they cannot be achieved through haphazard seat-of-the-pants methods. This paper introduces ...

Stress Response of Aspergillus niger Spores to Copper Surfaces and the Implications for Antifungal Surface Functionalization

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This study investigates the antifungal efficacy of ultrashort pulsed laser‐induced periodic surface structures (USP‐DLIP) on copper, brass, and steel surfaces. Using Aspergillus niger as a model, the research highlights a 99% reduction in spore viability on 9 µm structured copper surfaces due to enhanced copper ion release. Scanning electron microscopy
