Equilibrium dynamics of the restricted 3-body problem with prolate primaries

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2023
In this paper, the equilibrium dynamics of the circular restricted (2+1)-body problem with two elongated main bodies is investigated. More precisely, the influence of the mass parameter and the non-sphericity parameter on the position and stability of ...

Analysis of Resonance Transition Periodic Orbits in the Circular Restricted Three-Body Problem

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2022
Resonance transition periodic orbits exist in the chaotic regions where the 1:1 resonance overlaps with nearby interior or exterior resonances in the circular restricted three-body problem (CRTBP).

Three Body Problem and Formation of Binary System [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Astronomy and Space Sciences, 1985
The singularities of differential Newtonian equation of motion in three body problem cause the loss of accuracy and the considerable increase of the computer time.

Stability and bifurcation analyses for exterior resonant families in Earth-Moon system

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2021
In this work, stability and bifurcation analyses for exterior resonant orbit families have been investigated for a test spacecraft around Earth-Moon system. The initial states are obtained for certain resonance ratio orbits in the two-body problem.

On an Application of the Hill Approach to the General Case of the Three-body Problem

open access: yesThe Astronomical Journal
In this work, we use the energy and angular momentum integrals as a resource for applying Hill’s approach to the general three-body problem. As a result, we obtain theorems on the Lagrange stability and Hill stability in the general three-body problem ...

Observables of the three body Coulomb Problem

open access: yesThe Owl, 2020
The Coulomb three body problem is solved using a variational approach. We consider only S-wave solutions in this work. The wave function is expanded in products of Laguerre polynomials which are coordinate functions of perimetric coordinates.

Solar sail dynamics in the three-body problem: homoclinic paths of points and orbits

open access: yes, 2008
In this paper we consider the orbital previous termdynamicsnext term of a previous termsolar sailnext term in the Earth-Sun circular restricted three-body problem. The equations of motion of the previous termsailnext term are given by a set of non-linear

PARK(ing) time–How park deficiency affects the biological clock in a Drosophila model of Parkinson's disease

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Drosophila park mutants serve as a model for Parkinson's disease. We used this strain to investigate the connection between oxidative stress and the circadian clock mechanism. We showed that increased oxidative stress affects the physiology of pacemaker cells, disrupting their daily structural plasticity. Lack of rhythmic signaling from pacemaker cells

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created
