Three‐dimensional reduced field‐of‐view imaging (3D‐rFOVI)

Magnetic Resonance in Medicine, 2021
AbstractPurposeThis study aimed at developing a 3D reduced field‐of‐view imaging (3D‐rFOVI) technique using a 2D radiofrequency (RF) pulse, and demonstrating its ability to achieve isotropic high spatial resolution and reduced image distortion in echo planar imaging (EPI).MethodsThe proposed 3D‐rFOVI technique takes advantage of a 2D RF pulse to excite

Three-dimensional (3D) moment imaging with a USB3 oscilloscope

Review of Scientific Instruments, 2023
We report a new implementation of a recently developed 3D momentum imaging technique [Lee et al. J. Chem. Phys. 141, 221101 (2014)]. The previously employed high-speed digitizer in the setup is replaced by a portable USB3 oscilloscope. A new triggering scheme was developed to suppress trigger jitters and to synchronize the signals from a camera and the

Three-dimensional (3D) Reconstruction of Range Gated Imaging

2018 IEEE 7th International Conference on Photonics (ICP), 2018
In this paper, several approaches are applied for 3D reconstruction of range gated imaging with the objective to improve the 3D performance in terms of accuracy and resolution. Feasibility of the proposed image processing, 3D reconstruction model, super-resolution technique, and mesh refinement is demonstrated.

Three‐dimensional magnetization‐prepared rapid gradient‐echo imaging (3D MP RAGE)

Magnetic Resonance in Medicine, 1990
AbstractA new three‐dimensional imaging technique which is applicable for 3D MR imaging throughout the body is introduced. In our preliminary investigations we have acquired high‐quality 3D image sets of the abdomen showing minimal respiratory artifacts in just over 7 min (voxel size 2.7 × 2.7 × 2.7 mm3), and 3D image sets of the head showing excellent

Preoperative hepatic 3D models: Virtual liver resection using three-dimensional imaging technique

European Journal of Radiology, 2005
Emerging new techniques for liver resections set new requirements for the preoperative imaging and planning. Open surgery is a three-dimensional procedure and planning of the resection line may be difficult when basing on conventional two-dimensional CTs or MRIs, although all the information is there.

Three‐dimensional diffusion imaging with spiral encoded navigators from stimulated echoes (3D‐DISPENSE)

Magnetic Resonance in Medicine, 2018
PurposeTo introduce a new method for motion‐insensitive 3D multishot diffusion imaging using 3D spiral‐encoded navigators from stimulated echoes (3D‐DISPENSE).MethodsThe 3D‐DISPENSE sequence contains a 3D stack‐of‐spiral navigator generated between the diffusion preparation and the turbo spin‐echo image acquisition from the twin pathway of a stimulated

Three Dimensional (3D) Computed Tomography Images Reconstruction in Liver Surgery

2008
Advancement in radiological imaging technique has been crucial in the development of most of the surgical fields. Planning for operations needs good visualization of the organ and localization of the lesion within it, which was possible by Computed Tomography (CT) & Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).

Feature extraction of three dimensional (3D) facial landmarks using Spin Image

2010 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management, 2010
3D anthropometric data can be obtained more easily than several years ago, but to process 3D data is most challenging and local feature extraction is one of the challenges. To extract local features of a landmark on 3D anthropometric data, numerous methods have been proposed.
