Three-dimensional ultrasound matrix imaging

open access: yesNature Communications, 2023
Matrix imaging paves the way towards a next revolution in wave physics. Based on the response matrix recorded between a set of sensors, it enables an optimized compensation of aberration phenomena and multiple scattering events that usually drastically ...

Three-Dimensional Imaging in Orthodontics [PDF]

open access: yesTurkish Journal of Orthodontics, 2018
Orthodontic records are one of the main milestones in orthodontic therapy. Records are essential not only for diagnosis and treatment planning but also for follow-up of the case, communicating with colleagues, and evaluating the treatment outcomes ...

Three-dimensional imaging of Drosophila melanogaster. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2007
BackgroundThe major hindrance to imaging the intact adult Drosophila is that the dark exoskeleton makes it impossible to image through the cuticle. We have overcome this obstacle and describe a method whereby the internal organs of adult Drosophila can ...

Three-dimensional imaging assisted segmentectomy in the treatment of localized bronchiectasis: a retrospective analysis [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Cardiothoracic Surgery
Background Surgical treatment is crucial in managing bronchiectasis. Segmentectomy, although a complex procedure, has become more feasible with advancements in thin-slice CT and three-dimensional imaging.

Three-dimensional imaging in three-dimensional optical multi-beam micromanipulation

open access: yesOptics Express, 2008
In this work, we present a method providing real-time, low cost, three-dimensional imaging in a three-dimensional optical micromanipulation system. The three-dimensional imaging system is based on a small form factor LED based projector. The projector is used to dynamically shape the rear illumination light in a counter-propagating beam-trapping setup.

Terahertz time-domain attenuated total reflection spectroscopy integrated with a microfluidic chip

open access: yesFrontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology, 2023
The integration of a microfluidic chip into terahertz time-domain attenuated total reflection (THz TD-ATR) spectroscopy is highly demanded for the accurate measurement of aqueous samples.

Three-Dimensional Kaleidoscopic Imaging [PDF]

open access: yesImaging and Applied Optics Technical Papers, 2011
Planar mirror systems are capable of generating many virtual views, yet their practical use for multi-view imaging has been hindered by limiting configurations that enable view decomposition. In this work we lift those restrictions.

Segmentation of three dimensional images [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings. 1985 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation, 2005
In this paper, we describe the fundamental differences between three-dimensional (range) images and two-dimensional (luminance) images. A number of problems arise which are unique to range data, including in particular a strong sensitivity to quantization effects.

Three-dimensional visualization as a tool for interpreting locomotion strategies in ophiuroids from the Devonian Hunsrück Slate [PDF]

open access: yesRoyal Society Open Science, 2020
Living brittle stars (Echinodermata: Ophiuroidea) employ a very different locomotion strategy to that of any other metazoan: five or more arms coordinate powerful strides for rapid movement across the ocean floor.

Three dimensional fluorescence imaging using multiple light-sheet microscopy. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2014
We developed a multiple light-sheet microscopy (MLSM) system capable of 3D fluorescence imaging. Employing spatial filter in the excitation arm of a SPIM system, we successfully generated multiple light-sheets. This improves upon the existing SPIM system
