Three-dimensional printing of scintillating materials

Review of Scientific Instruments, 2014
We demonstrate, for the first time, the applicability of three-dimensional printing techniques to the manufacture of scintillation detectors. We report on the development of a formulation, usable in stereolithographic printing, that exhibits scintillation efficiency on the order of 30% of that of commercial polystyrene based scintillators.

Three-Dimensionally Printed Micro-electromechanical Switches

ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, 2018
Three-dimensional (3D) printers have attracted considerable attention from both industry and academia and especially in recent years because of their ability to overcome the limitations of two-dimensional (2D) processes and to enable large-scale facile integration techniques. With 3D printing technologies, complex structures can be created using only a

Three-dimensionally printed duplicate sleeping denture

The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry
A patient presented with a treatment plan for the replacement of his maxillary complete removable denture and mandibular implant-retained complete overdenture because of excessive wear and fracture of his existing prostheses. A digital workflow was used, and his dentures were milled from a monolithic acrylic resin disk.

Three-dimensional Printing Technology in Orthopaedics

Journal of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, 2019
Three-dimensional (3-D) printing technology is affecting how orthopaedic surgeries are planned and executed. Like many innovations, 3-D printers are becoming smaller, more affordable, and more accessible. Free access to open-source 3-D imaging software has also made clinical implementation of this technology widely feasible. Within the last decade, 3-D

Three-Dimensional Printing Process

2019
Stereolithographic additive manufacturing was developed to create metal and ceramic components with functionally modulated geometry using a computer-aided design, manufacturing, and evaluation. Micrometer-scale ceramic lattices are propagated spatially in the computer graphic space.
