Embedded Ferroelectric Nanoclusters Can Drive Polarization Reversal in a Non‐Ferroelectric Polar Film via the Proximity Effect

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Ferroelectric nanoclusters create local internal fields in a normally non‐switchable polar film because of polarization mismatch at their interfaces. That field opposes polarization in the regions with larger polarization and reinforces polarization in the regions with smaller polarization.

Three-level inverter fed open-end winding IM drive with common mode voltage elimination and reduced power device count

open access: yes, 2007
A three-level space phasor generation scheme with common mode elimination and with reduced power device count is proposed for an open end winding induction motor in this paper. The open end winding induction motor is fed by the three-level inverters

Operando Tracking of Oxygen‐Vacancy Dynamics and Negative Capacitance in Ca‐Doped BiFeO3

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Operando electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, combined with electrocoloration, enables a direct correlation between real‐space ionic redistribution and the corresponding frequency‐domain electrical response. In lateral Ca‐doped BiFeO3 devices, time‐resolved impedance snapshots capture the evolution from bulk‐dominated mixed conduction to an ...

Noise‐Limited Bit Precision in Ferroelectric Synaptic Transistors for High‐Resolution Neuromorphic Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Low‐frequency noise spectroscopy defines the resolvable conductance states of synaptic FeFETs by coupling read‐current fluctuation with usable dynamic range. The resulting noise‐limited bit precision establishes a universal, device‐agnostic reliability metric beyond the memory window, enabling quantitative benchmarking and rational design of high ...

A Simple Five-Level Inverter Topology for Induction Motor Drive Using Conventional Two-Level Inverters and Flying Capacitor Technique

open access: yes, 2009
This paper proposes a new five-level inverter topology for open-end winding induction motor (IM) drive. The popular existing circuit configurations for five-level inverter include the NPC inverter and flying capacitor topologies.
