A three‐phase three‐level converter with shared flying capacitors

open access: yesIET Power Electronics, EarlyView., 2023
Three‐phase multilevel converters use a high number of components which increases their size. As specific weight reduction is a work of interest for embedded system applications, this paper presents a topology aiming to optimize volume and mass for a three‐level three‐phase inverter. The number of passive and active components is reduced thanks to the ‘

Simulation and Implementation of NPC three-level inverter SVPWM algorithm

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2021
Abstract Taking diode clamp type three-level inverter as the research object, the principle of SVPWM algorithm is introduced, and the relationship between SVPWM algorithm and two-level algorithm is described. On this basis, the simulation principle of two-level SVPWM algorithm is used for reference, and the three-level space vector ...

Triple boost switched capacitor multilevel inverter (TB‐SCMLI) with reduced components and self‐voltage balance

open access: yesIET Power Electronics, EarlyView., 2023
The proposed TB‐SCMLI is able to provide seven levels of output voltage by balancing the voltage of two capacitors with the given control logic. The various SCMLIs are evaluated to determine the contribution of the suggested TB‐SCMLI topology's merits and downsides.

An assessment of H‐bridge less grid‐tied multilevel inverter with minimum device count and lesser total standing voltage

open access: yesIET Power Electronics, EarlyView., 2023
An innovative switched‐capacitor‐based inverter is proposed in this article. The suggested converter can produce a five‐level output voltage by utilizing minimal components (single dc source, six switches, and one capacitor). The effectiveness of the suggested inverter is verified by experimental results using hardware in loop OPAL‐RT OP4510.

A double T‐type H‐bridge reduced switch multilevel inverter for a wide range of DC voltage variations

open access: yesIET Power Electronics, EarlyView., 2023
This paper proposes a new Double T‐type H‐bridge (DTH) module configuration that can produce 9, 13, 17, 19, 21, and 25 levels using reduced components. Abstract Renewable energy sources are subject to input source uncertainties, which can negatively impact output voltage THD.

Three-level NPC Inverter SVM Implementation on Delfino DSC

open access: yesIFAC-PapersOnLine, 2019
Abstract The aim of the paper is to present implementation of reduced switch count space vector pulse width modulation for three-level neutral point clamped inverters (3L-NPC). The implementation was done using Delfino TMS320F28379D. This dual core digital signal controller (DSC) is used because of compute-intensive nature of implemented modulation ...

Real-Time Switching Number Reduction SVM for a Two-Phase Motor Powered by Three-Level NPC Inverter

open access: yesEnergies, 2023
A three-level neutral point clamped inverter with three phase legs is often used to power three-phase electrical motors. This type of multilevel inverter has its advantages over two-level inverters.
