Three-phase optimal harmonic power flow

IEE Proceedings - Generation, Transmission and Distribution, 1996
A new three-phase optimal-harmonic-power-flow (TOHPF) method is proposed. It is designed to minimise the three-phase power losses and the total three-phase harmonic voltage distortion while satisfying the three-phase-power-flow equations, three-phase harmonic-power-flow equations, three-phase security constraints, and the three-phase harmonic standard ...

Three-phase fast decoupled power flow

PowerTech Budapest 99. Abstract Records. (Cat. No.99EX376), 2003
This paper presents power flow methods for the solution of unbalanced and balanced three-phase distribution systems. The best existing methods for solving three-phase power flow are tested and the results discussed. The fast decoupled methods and the current injection Newton work for radial and meshed networks, and the matrices (Jacobian) remain ...

Three-phase Power Flow for FRIENDS Network

2005 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2005
A new three-phase power flow calculation method is developed. The Gauss Seidel method is employed to calculate three-phase power flow. The methods can take the connection of a number of single-phase distributed generators into account and can handle loop systems.

Three-Phase Optimal Power Flow based on Affine Arithmetic

2021 IEEE PES Innovative Smart Grid Technologies Conference - Latin America (ISGT Latin America), 2021
This paper presents a non-linear stochastic mathematical formulation for the three-phase optimal power flow problem, which addresses the uncertainties of both the load and the renewable generation using the self-validation method called Affine Arithmetic. The affine shapes for tree-phase variables was performed using the theoretical approach of Reduced

Robust three phase fast decoupled power flow

2009 IEEE/PES Power Systems Conference and Exposition, 2009
In this paper, a robust, three-phase, fast-decoupled power flow (FDPF) is developed for transmission system, using Optimal Multiplier. An efficient non-divergent, three-phase power flow is required for the analysis of ill-conditioned or highly stressed systems. Such situations are more common in unbalanced systems.

Unbalanced Three-Phase Optimal Power Flow for Smart Grids

IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2011
Advanced distribution management system (DMS), an evolution of supervisory control and data acquisition obtained by extending its working principles from transmission to distribution, is the brain of a smart grid. Advanced DMS assesses smart functions in the distribution system and is also responsible for assessing control functions such as reactive ...

A Hybrid Three-Phase Single-Phase Power Flow Formulation

IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, 2008
This paper presents a hybrid power flow formulation unifying three-phase and single-phase (positive sequence) models. Positive sequence modeling is considered at the transmission level network and three-phase modeling is considered at the distribution level. A passive interface between these networks is proposed.
