An advanced three phase five level PWM rectifier
2009 International Conference on Power Engineering, Energy and Electrical Drives, 2009In this paper, authors propose an advanced five level rectifier which results from a series connection of two three level rectifiers. A topological optimization of this configuration leads to the proposed topology characterized by the use of only six power switches per phase.

Virtual flux based direct power control of three-phase PWM rectifiers
Conference Record of the 2000 IEEE Industry Applications Conference. Thirty-Fifth IAS Annual Meeting and World Conference on Industrial Applications of Electrical Energy (Cat. No.00CH37129), 2001In this paper, direct power control (DPC) of three-phase pulsewidth-modulated rectifiers without line voltage sensors is presented. The new system is based on virtual flux (VF) estimation. Theoretical principles of this method are discussed. The steady-state and dynamic behavior of VF-DPC are presented that illustrate the operation and performance of ...

Synchronverter-based control strategies for three-phase PWM rectifiers
2012 7th IEEE Conference on Industrial Electronics and Applications (ICIEA), 2012Current control and direct power control (DPC) are popular control strategies for PWM rectifiers. In this paper, two novel control strategies are proposed to operate a rectifier to mimic a synchronous motor. One is to directly control the power extracted from the source and the other is to control the output voltage.

Average current control of three-phase PWM boost rectifier
Proceedings of PESC '95 - Power Electronics Specialist Conference, 2002Average current control of three-phase PWM boost rectifiers with three linear current compensators and six-step PWM is a very attractive solution for its simplicity. The performance of the closed-loop control depends on the compensator design. This paper presents a modeling, analysis and design procedure for the average current control scheme.

Harmonic minimization in a three-phase asymmetrical PWM rectifier
Proceedings of MELECON '94. Mediterranean Electrotechnical Conference, 2002A new pulse-width modulation (PWM) method for a three-phase bridge rectifier developed here gives minimized low order harmonics. As a PWM rectifier, it offers better input and output characteristics than phase-controlled rectifiers. It has inherited the characteristics of the PWM rectifier such as having high power factor at the input with low harmonic

A three-phase three-switch two-level PWM rectifier
IEEE 34th Annual Conference on Power Electronics Specialist, 2003. PESC '03., 2004This paper presents a new topology for a high power factor three-phase PWM rectifier system, without a neutral wire, with output voltage control and high efficiency. The control is simple and was implemented using commercial single phase modulators with independent current loops and a voltage loop.

The Simulation of Three-Phase Voltage Source PWM Rectifier
2012 Asia-Pacific Power and Energy Engineering Conference, 2012Three-phase PWM voltage rectifier (VSR) applies Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) technology, it can overcomes the drawbacks of the conventional rectifiers, and has higher power factor, lower harmonic current and rapid dynamic respond, so VSR used widespread. In this paper a dual-channel closed-loop control strategy with current-inner-loop and voltage-outer-

Study of New Three- phase Voltage Source PWM Rectifier
International Journal of Digital Content Technology and its Applications, 2013It has been established that a mathematical model for the three-phase voltage source PWM rectifier based on the three-phase stationary symmetric coordinate system (a, b, c) and two-phase synchronous rotating coordinate system (d, q); adopted the power feedforward decouping control strategy, a double closed-loop control structure for three-phase voltage

AC voltage sensorless control of three-phase PWM rectifiers
2015 3rd International Renewable and Sustainable Energy Conference (IRSEC), 2015Three-phase pulse-width modulation (PWM) rectifiers are being increasingly used as high performance grid interface in power systems like distributed and renewable energy generation. A new adaptive source voltages estimation method for sensorless control of PWM rectifier is developed in this paper.

Modeling and Stability Analysis of Three-Phase PWM Rectifier
2018 IEEE International Power Electronics and Application Conference and Exposition (PEAC), 2018According to the instantaneous active power balance, the small-signal mathematical model from active current to dc-side bus voltage is proposed. When the rectifier operates in the rectification mode, it has a right-half-plane (RHP) zero and exhibits a non-minimum phase feature which causes a phase lag and affects system stability.
