Partition of Proteins in a Three‐Phase System [PDF]
A system consisting of three liquid phases has been used for partition of proteins. It is composed of water and three high‐molecular compounds: dextran, Ficoll and poly(ethyleneglycol) the latter partly converted into a derivative. All the three phases have a high water content, 71–79%, and dissolve proteins.

Progressive Antithrombin: A Three-Phase System [PDF]
Abstract 1. Data are presented which demonstrate that progressive antithrombin activity results from the interaction of three factors: antithrombin, an antithrombin inhibitor, and a platelet factor. In plasma, the antithrombin is held inactive by combination with inhibitor so that no free antithrombic activity is present.

Muscle: A Three Phase System [PDF]
The partition of sulfate, Ca++, and Mg++ across the membrane of the sartorius muscle has been studied, and the effect of various concentrations of these ions in the Ringer solution on the cellular level of Na+, K+, and Cl- has been determined. The level of the three divalent ions in toad plasma and muscle in vivo has been assayed. Muscle

Geometric Phase of Three-Level Systems in Interferometry [PDF]
We present the first scheme for producing and measuring an Abelian geometric phase shift in a three-level system where states are invariant under a non-Abelian group. In contrast to existing experiments and proposals for experiments, based on U(1)-invariant states, our scheme geodesically evolves U(2)-invariant states in a four-dimensional SU(3)/U(2 ...

Highly efficient three-phase grid-connected parallel inverter system
In this paper, a new three-phase grid-connected inverter system is proposed. The proposed system includes two inverters. The main inverter, which operates at a low switching frequency, transfers active power to the grid.

District Heating System Optimisation: A Three-Phase Thermo-Hydraulic Linear Model
Investments in the development of the district heating system require a thorough analysis of the technical, economic, and legal aspects. Regarding the technical and economic context, a mathematical model of the district heating system has been proposed ...

ABSTRACT Pediatric gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP‐NENs) are extremely rare and clinically heterogeneous. Management has largely been extrapolated from adult practice. This European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline (ESCP), developed by the EXPeRT network in collaboration with adult NEN experts, provides (adult) evidence ...

A PC-based three-phase system analyser
As the use of power electronics and inductive loads on electrical supplies increases, the requirement to monitor power system quality becomes an increasingly common practice.

We propose an electronic load system with an interleaved structure applicable to DC, single-phase AC, and three-phase AC. Applying the interleaved method makes it possible to reduce voltage and current ripple, thereby reducing voltage and current stress ...

ABSTRACT Primary cutaneous anaplastic large cell lymphoma (pcALCL) is a rare pediatric CD30‐positive T‐cell lymphoproliferative disorder with an excellent prognosis, but its genomic drivers are poorly defined. We report three children with skin‐limited disease demonstrating striking molecular heterogeneity, including NPM::ALK, NUP214::FRK, and a novel ...
