Discrete phase-locked loop for three-phase systems

IECON 2014 - 40th Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2014
This paper presents a discrete phase-locked loop (PLL) method aimed to provide an estimation of the angular frequency, and both the positive and negative sequences of the fundamental component of an unbalanced and distorted three-phase reference signal.

A Filtering Technique for Three-Phase Power Systems

2005 IEEE Instrumentationand Measurement Technology Conference Proceedings, 2006
A novel filter for use in three-phase power systems is introduced. When the input to the filter is a balanced three-phase set of signals, the filter suppresses noise and distortions and extracts a smooth three-phase fundamental component. When the input signal to the filter is unbalanced, it extracts the fundamental positive-sequence component of the ...

Three-Phase Power System and Three-Phase Transformers

2011
Single-phase systems are adequate for residential applications up to an apparent power S of 5 kVA (per residence), and 25 kVA single-phase pole transformers supply power to about 5–10 residences. In rural areas irrigation applications require single-phase motor ratings of up to 50 kVA.

A study of some three-phase systems

Proceedings of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, 1914
The star-star, delta-delta, delta-star and star-delta connections are taken up in order and their individual peculiarities and characteristics, precautions that must be taken in operation to avoid trouble, and where and when the system may be grounded with best results, are discussed. The question of delta-delta vs.

Three-phase systems

1994
SAN FRANCISCO saw the opening of the first central power station in 1879, supplying DC from two Brush dynamos to arc lamps for lighting the streets. Similar systems were soon installed all over the world. AC generators began to be used for the same purpose and the two varieties of electricity supply coexisted for a time, with the advantage perhaps ...

A study of a queueing system with three-phase service

Operations Research Letters, 1993
The paper considers a single server which alternates between a batch service queue and an individual service queue. The service times are generally distributed with the batch service queue having two phases of service, the first following a non-gated protocol and the second a gated protocol.

Three-phase Systems

1978
A three-phase system is one having three sets of supply voltages which have a fixed phase angle difference (120°) between pairs of voltages.

Three-Phase Systems

1998
Nearly all of the electrical power produced in the world is generated and distributed as three-phase a.c. circuits at 50–60-Hz frequency.

Three-phase systems

2019
The chapter begins with a discussion of three-phase circuits and the analysis of three-phase sources. It goes on to consider the analysis of Y-Y and Y-Δ systems, and concludes by discussing power in balanced three-phase systems.
