A three-point flexure test configuration for improved sensitivity to metal/ adhesive interfacial phenomena

International Journal of Adhesion and Adhesives, 1982
Abstract A three-point flexure test was used to evaluate the effects of chemical surface treatments on the performance of adhesively-bonded structures of Ti6A14V. A single adherend/adhesive structure rather than a double adherend sandwich configuration is shown to be sensitive to pre-bonding adherend surface treatments.

FLEXURAL BEHAVIOUR OF ANISOTROPIC COMPOSITE DISCS SUBJECTED TO THREE-POINT SUPPORT BENDING TESTS

1999
In this work, discs supported on three points were loaded at the centre to determine the flexural stiffness of composites produced from a Sheet Molding Compound (SMC/C-R) and a Carbon/Polycarbonate (C/PC) towpreg using different laminate stacking sequences.

Application of 2D Digital Image Correlation Three Point Flexure Test of Reinforced Concrete Beam

2016
Digital image correlation (DIC) method has been used in many disciplines to measure displacement and strain without any contact to the specimen. Moreover, it is usually a cheaper method when compared with other measurement techniques. In this technique, a single or stereo digital cameras are needed for the 2D and 3D measurements, respectively.
