Extracellular Vesicle‐Delivered tRF‐His‐GTG‐1 Reprograms Neutrophil Lipophagy and Triggers Inflammation in COVID‐19

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies platelet‐derived extracellular vesicles as key immunometabolic regulators in COVID‐19. The delivery of tRF‐His‐GTG‐1 to neutrophils activates TLR8mTOR signaling, disrupts lipophagy, and amplifies NET‐mediated inflammation. Importantly, targeting this axis restores neutrophil homeostasis, offering a potential therapeutic strategy ...

Potent and Long‐Lasting Immunogenicity Generated by LNP‐mRNA gE Antigen Against Varicella Zoster Virus via an AI‐Assisted Pipeline

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study designs a novel mRNA‐LNP vaccine targeting VZV glycoprotein E (gE) for herpes zoster via an AI‐assisted pipeline. Validated in mice and rhesus macaques, the mRNA‐LNP vaccine shows strong humoral and cellular immune responses, with CD4+ T‐cell responses more effective and durable than Shingrix, offering a promising prophylactic option ...

Cloning and characterisation of two subtilisin-like protease genes from Neotyphodium lolii : a thesis presented in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Science in Molecular Genetics at Massey University [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
PCR amplification of Neotyphodium lolii genomic DNA with degenerate primers detected two different sequences with homology to subtilisin-like proteases. These two PCR products were used to screen a N. lolii Lp19 genomic library.

Endocytic Control of Cell‐Autonomous and Non‐Cell‐Autonomous Functions of p53

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
NUMB Ex3‐containing isoforms localize to the plasma membrane, where they recruit p53 through SNX9 and direct it to multivesicular bodies and exosomes. Exported p53 is taken up by neighboring cells and activates nuclear programs, revealing an intercellular, exosome‐based pathway that might help establish a tumor‐suppressive microenvironment.

Identification of a novel regulatory mechanism for the disease associated protein, uPAR [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Expression quantitative trait loci (eQTLs), as determined through a series of statistical association studies collectively known as genome-wide association (GWA) studies, have provided us with a hypothesis free approach for the investigation into ...

A Trypsin‐Like Serine Protease ZmNAL1a Fine‐Tunes Maize Floral Transition and Flowering Time

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies a trypsin‐like serine protease, ZmNAL1a, that moves from leaves to the shoot apical meristem. ZmNAL1a promotes the floral transition by degrading TOPLESS‐like corepressor REL2, which thereby enhances the expression of key flowering genes through elevating histone acetylation and relieving REL2–ZmEREBP147‐mediated transcriptional ...

SUPER: Upcycling Genetic Parts for Precise Gene Expression Control, Leakage Minimization, and Genetic Circuit Stability

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
To precisely modulate natural and synthetic regulatory parts, SUPER is introduced as a sophisticated and tunable controller of genetic devices without requiring sequence modification on the target. SUPER enhances dynamic range of RNA‐, chemical‐, temperature‐, and protein‐responsive biosensors up to 1011%, and converts biosensors to cover an expanded ...

A CRY-BIC negative-feedback circuitry regulating blue light sensitivity of Arabidopsis. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Cryptochromes are blue light receptors that regulate various light responses in plants. Arabidopsis cryptochrome 1 (CRY1) and cryptochrome 2 (CRY2) mediate blue light inhibition of hypocotyl elongation and long-day (LD) promotion of floral initiation. It

Epidemiology of Human Parechovirus Type1 in Clinical Samples from Children with Gastroenteritis Using RT-PCR

open access: yesMajallah-i Dānishgāh-i ̒Ulūm-i Pizishkī-i Qum, 2011
Background and Objectives: Human parechovirus type-1 (HPeV-1) is a genus of picornaviridea with a single stranded positive sense RNA genome. In general it seems to be responsible for more gastrointestinal and respiratory syndromes and less responsible ...
