A new Odontothrips species (Thysanoptera: Thripidae) from IranĀ

Zootaxa, 2013
Species of the Holartic genus Odontothrips Amyot & Serville (Thripidae: Thripinae) usually breed in the flowers of Fabaceae. Some species cause slight damage to Fabaceae crops (Pitkin 1972), and O. confusus Priesner sometimes produces high populations on alfalfa in Iran (Mirab-balou et al. 2013).

Peanut-Winged Thrips (Thysanoptera: Thripidae)

Annals of the Entomological Society of America, 1952

Effects of heat stress on survival of Frankliniella occidentalis (Thysanoptera: Thripidae) and Thrips tabaci (Thysanoptera: Thripidae).

Journal of economic entomology, 2014
Temperature is known to play a crucial role in the population dynamics of insects. Insects have evolved different mechanisms to resist unfavorable extreme temperatures. In recent years, western flower thrips, Frankliniella occidentalis (Pergande) (Thysanoptera: Thripidae), and onion thrips, Thrips tabaci (Lindeman) (Thysanoptera: Thripidae), have ...

It is also suggested that the W. German populations of Organothrlps reported as blanchil by Titschack probably represent a different spccies.
