Yaothrips shii gen. et sp. n. from western China (Thripidae: Thripinae)

A new genus and micropterous species of Thripinae (Thysanoptera: Thripidae), Yaothrips shii gen. & sp. n., are described and illustrated from Tibet, western China. The relationship of this genus with other genera of Thripinae is discussed, particularly because of a pair of dorso-apical setae on the first antennal segment.

A new genus of Thripinae (Thysanoptera, Thripidae) collected from Pandanus in Japan, Malaysia and Australia, with three new species

Pandanothrips gen. n. is described, with three new species inhabiting Pandanus: P. ryukyuensis sp. n. from Japan, P. wangi sp. n. from Malaysia, and P. hallingi sp. n. from Australia. This new genus shows no relationship to Projectothrips Moulton, the only other Thripinae genus known to be associated with Pandanus.

Two new species from China of the Californian grass-living genus Prosopoanaphothrips (Thysanoptera, Thripinae)

The Californian grass-living genus Prosopoanaphothrips is newly recorded from China with two new species, P. flavipes sp. nov. from Aba, Sichuan and P. qilianshanensis sp. nov. from Qilian, Qinghai. These two are distinguished from the type species, P. reticulatus, by antennal segment IV with a forked sense cone.
