Nanomaterial‐Based Optical Biosensors for SARS‐CoV‐2 Detection: A Retrospective of the Pandemic
This review discusses nanomaterial‐based optical biosensors developed for or adapted to the detection of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS‐CoV‐2). It concludes by providing a perspective on how lessons learned during the coronavirus disease of 2019 (COVID‐19) pandemic may be applied for future research on nanomaterial‐based ...

Nonsyndromic orofacial clefts (NSOFCs) are the most common craniofacial defects. Exome sequencing of 214 sporadic cases sheds new light on its genetic architecture and identifies many candidate pathogenic variants. Furthermore, functional studies establish BOC as a novel causal gene and reveal an unusual two‐locus model of inheritance via the epistatic

Primordial Non-Gaussianity and Gravitational Waves: Observational Tests of Brane Inflation in String Theory [PDF]
We study brane inflation scenarios in a warped throat geometry and show that there exists a consistency condition between the non-Gaussianity of the curvature perturbation and the amplitude and scale-dependence of the primordial gravitational waves. This

USP10 Inhibits Ferroptosis via Deubiquinating POLR2A in Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma
This study identifies USP10 as a novel deubiquitinase that antagonizes ferroptosis in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). Mechanistically, USP10 directly stabilizes POLR2A protein through post‐translational deubiquitination, enabling POLR2A‐mediated transcriptional activation of SLC7A11, a key ferroptosis inhibitor.

Kaluza-Klein relics from warped reheating
It has been suggested that after brane-antibrane inflation in a Klebanov-Strassler (KS) warped throat, metastable Kaluza-Klein (KK) excitations can be formed due to nearly-conserved angular momenta along isometric directions in the throat.

The study identifies a novel circular RNA derived from the TP53 gene (circTP53), which is upregulated in HNSCC and correlates with poor patient prognosis. It demonstrates that circTP53 promotes HNSCC progression by interacting with USP10, stabilizing both proteins, enhancing deubiquitination of p53, and thereby influencing tumor growth, with its ...
