Design and control of condensate-throttling reboilers

Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research, 1988
Les deux methodes de conception du rebouilleur (avec etranglement du condensat ou de la vapeur) sont comparees du point de vue du transfert de chaleur et de la dynamique de la colonne de distillation.

Continuous Fast Nonsingular Terminal Sliding Mode Control of Automotive Electronic Throttle Systems Using Finite-Time Exact Observer

IEEE transactions on industrial electronics (1982. Print), 2018
The control of automobile electronic throttle (AET) systems is a challenging task owing to multiple nonlinearities, i.e., transmission friction, gear backlash, limp-home spring set, and external load disturbance.

Switching control of a pneumatic throttle actuator

IEEE Control Systems, 1998
A speed controller's primary input, for an internal combustion engine-based vehicle, is the throttle angle. The most common way to adjust the throttle angle setting is with a pneumatic actuator. When a faster and more accurate throttle response is desired, the pneumatic based system is generally replaced with a stepping motor mounted directly on the ...

Adaptive Integral Terminal Sliding Mode Control for Automobile Electronic Throttle via an Uncertainty Observer and Experimental Validation

IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, 2018
A robust adaptive integral terminal sliding mode (AITSM) control scheme with an uncertainty observer (UO) is developed for automobile electronic throttle (AET) systems. Distinguished from the ordinary sliding mode (SM)-based AET control systems, by using

Throttles and Dampers: Controlling the Engine of Membrane Fusion

Science, 1997
Thomas H. SA¶llner Vesicles deliver cargo to targets in all parts of the cell. New findings in this issue show that two regulatory proteins, Ypt1p (a Rab-family member) and Sly1p (a Sec1-family member), bind to a SNARE protein located on the target.

Simulations of Robust Control of the Throttle Valve Position

2020 IEEE International Conference on Automation, Quality and Testing, Robotics (AQTR), 2020
The paper presents design, modeling and simulation of robust control applied to the throttle valve position. For this purpose, the simplified mathematical model of the throttle valve is first presented. It consists of a second order system affected by parameters uncertainties. Because of these drawbacks, H2 and H-infinity methods are used to design the

An Adaptive Nonlinear Strategy of Electronic Throttle Control

SAE Technical Paper Series, 2004
An adaptive electronic throttle control strategy is proposed with the aim to provide robust and precise positioning of the throttle plate. The control strategy consists of a PID controller and a nonlinear compensator of friction and limp-home effects. The adaptation mechanism includes auto-tuning and self-tuning algorithms.

Adaptive sliding-mode control of automotive electronic throttle in the presence of input saturation constraint

IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica, 2018
In modern vehicles, electronic throttle ( ET ) has been widely utilized to control the airflow into gasoline engine. To solve the control difficulties with an ET, such as strong nonlinearity, unknown model parameters and input saturation constraints, an ...

Electronic Throttle Control Strategy Develop

2009
This paper researches on how to improve the ETB (Electronic Throttle Body) performance, as the emission requirement becomes more and more strict this core function’s performance becomes more and more important. We can get the command throttle position easy but there are many factors can affect the ETB intake air mass model in the real work environment,

Throttle Valve Position Control System

IEEE Transactions on Industry and General Applications, 1965
A high-accuracy steam valve controller which uses a dc motor and gear train to position a steam valve shaft is described. The system responds to an error signal derived from the difference between an input reference and an output feedback signal. The error signal is amplified to control two firing pulse generators.
