A high performance throttle valve
Vacuum, 1972Abstract Design details and working performance of a logarithmic throttle valve with a large range are given. Special features make the logarithmic valve particularly suitable for servomechanism operation in controlled systems.

Simulations of Robust Control of the Throttle Valve Position
2020 IEEE International Conference on Automation, Quality and Testing, Robotics (AQTR), 2020The paper presents design, modeling and simulation of robust control applied to the throttle valve position. For this purpose, the simplified mathematical model of the throttle valve is first presented. It consists of a second order system affected by parameters uncertainties. Because of these drawbacks, H2 and H-infinity methods are used to design the

Variable structure control of electronic throttle valve
IVEC2001. Proceedings of the IEEE International Vehicle Electronics Conference 2001. IVEC 2001 (Cat. No.01EX522), 2002In recent years, the use of electronic throttle valve systems has been very popular in the automotive industry. However, there exist difficulties in controlling the electronic throttle valve because of multiple nonsmooth nonlinearities including stick-slip friction, backlash, and a discontinuous nonlinear spring involved in the system. To alleviate the

Sliding mode control of electronic throttle valve
Proceedings of the 2002 American Control Conference (IEEE Cat. No.CH37301), 2002This paper focuses on the design of a controller for the throttle valve that is used in combustion engines for the purpose of adjusting air-fuel ratio. Due to the right-hand side discontinuities and uncertainties in the throttle body's mathematical model, sliding mode concept is utilized after the employment of feedback linearization techniques in the ...

Intake Valve Throttling (IVT) - A Sonic Throttling Intake Valve Engine
SAE Technical Paper Series, 1968<div class="htmlview paragraph">A spark ignition engine concept employing sonic throttling intake valves has demonstrated that the rapid, turbulent combustion process so produced permits extremely lean part-load operation. Light load mixture ratios in excess of 20:1 are possible without incurring the consequences of cyclic variations in cylinder ...

The study of throttle poppet valve structure
International Conference on Advanced Technology of Design and Manufacture (ATDM 2010), 2010The velocity, pressure, stream function and velocity magnitude in different case are discussed by numerical analysis and simulation of the fluid flow in the throttle poppet valve structure. When radian throttle orifice of the seat is 0.5mm, there is a small negative pressure in a distance of throttle, and air erosion is less than that of no rounded ...

Functional anatomy and “throttle valve” action of the pulmonary veins
American Heart Journal, 1954Abstract The functional anatomy of the junction of pulmonary veins and atrium has been studied, and the findings have been presented. The probable significance of the anatomy of this region in cardiac and pulmonary hemodynamics in health and disease has been indicated.

Event based control applied to wireless throttling valves
2015 International Conference on Event-based Control, Communication, and Signal Processing (EBCCSP), 2015This paper addresses the PID modifications and communication support that enable effective control using wireless throttling valves. To conserve the battery power used by a wireless positioner, the PID in a control system can be modified to minimize changes to the actuator position.. Effectively, a controller's output to an actuator is event-driven. It

Throttle Valve Position Control System
IEEE Transactions on Industry and General Applications, 1965A high-accuracy steam valve controller which uses a dc motor and gear train to position a steam valve shaft is described. The system responds to an error signal derived from the difference between an input reference and an output feedback signal. The error signal is amplified to control two firing pulse generators.

Investigation of vibration problem of the throttle valve in a multi-way valve test rig
IEEE 10th International Conference on Industrial Informatics, 2012This paper analyzes a vibration problem occurs in multi-way valve throttle load experiment. The dynamic process of the vibration in throttle valve is first analyzed to find out the key parameters relating to the vibration. Then an AMESim model of the hydraulic system with the vibrating throttle valve has been built.
