Thrust Faulting and Hydrocarbon Generation: REPLY

AAPG Bulletin, 1987
This paper is a rebuttal of an earlier paper trying to refute the claims of these authors. They believe this reply illustrates that the simplifications used by Warner and Royse (1987) in their model are generally inappropriate to describe the thermal history of units in the Western Overthrust belt, as well as other overthrust regions.

Thrust Faulting in Arbuckle Mountains, Oklahoma

AAPG Bulletin, 1945
There are thirteen erratic masses superimposed on Simpson strata ranging in age from the Oil Creek formation to the Bromide formation south of the city of Sulphur, Murray County, Oklahoma. The rocks of the erratic masses range in age from the McLish formation to the Trenton formation. Their occurrence has not been previously recognized.

Fabric of Quartzites near Thrust Faults

The Journal of Geology, 1952
Near east-dipping thrust faults in the Green Mountains and Berkshire Hills, New England, quartzites exhibit westward overturned folds with subhorizontal axes, and an axial-plane cleavage dips east. Close to a thrust fault the cleavage becomes so intense that it obscures the limbs of folds.
