THRUST FORCE ANALYSIS OF SPIKE BELL NOZZLE

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Research in Mechanical Engineering, 2013
Aerospike nozzle is often described as an inside-out bell shaped nozzle and named for its prominent spike located at centre. This project mainly focuses on design of various types of nozzles such as aerospike, truncated aerospike and spike bell nozzles.

Forces Perspective of Drillability of Titanium Alloy 6Al-2Sn-4Zr-6Mo [PDF]

open access: yesJEMMME (Journal of Energy, Mechanical, Material, and Manufacturing Engineering), 2018
This paper concerns on drillability of Ti-6Al-2Sn-4Zr-6Mo (Ti-6246) from the point view of thrust force (Fz) & torque (Mz) using a TiAlN CVD coated carbide tool. The condition of the material was varied with three different heat treatments.

Mirror formation control in the vicinity of an asteroid [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Two strategies are presented for the positioning and control of a spacecraft formation designed to focus sunlight onto a point on the surface of asteroid, thereby sublimating the material and ejecting debris creating thrust.

Conserved structural motifs in PAS, LOV, and CRY proteins regulate circadian rhythms and are therapeutic targets

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cryptochrome and PAS/LOV proteins play intricate roles in circadian clocks where they act as both sensors and mediators of protein–protein interactions. Their ubiquitous presence in signaling networks has positioned them as targets for small‐molecule therapeutics. This review provides a structural introduction to these protein families.

Comparative study for designing the horizontal thrust blocks in pipelines for water and sewage networks

open access: yesWater Science and Technology, 2021
The thrust block is one of the most widely recognized methods of resisting thrust forces. This type of infrastructure should be installed in bends, dead ends, tees and wyes.

Interplanetary Trajectory Optimization with Powerlimited Propulsion Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 1962
A trajectory-optimization process is described in which the optimum thrust equations are derived using the calculus of variations. The magnitude of the thrust is constrained within an upper and a lower bound, but the thrust direction is arbitrary.

Re‐Awakening Public Attention to the Silent Pandemic of Cancer Among Older Adults in Low‐ and Middle‐Income Countries

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT As global populations age, cancer is increasingly becoming a leading cause of morbidity and mortality among older adults, particularly in low‐ and middle‐income countries (LMICs). Despite accounting for the majority of new cancer cases and deaths, older individuals remain underrepresented in cancer research, clinical guidelines, and health ...

An Optimization Method for Thrust Allocation of ROV Based on Genetic Algorithm

open access: yesKongzhi Yu Xinxi Jishu, 2023
To address the problem of output saturation in the thrust allocation of remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), this paper introduces a thrust distribution optimization technique based on genetic algorithm.

Instability of fixed, low-thrust drag compensation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
FORCED drag compensation using continuous low-thrustpropulsion has been considered for satellites in low Earth orbit. This simple, but nonoptimal, scheme merely requires that the thrust vector is directed opposite to the drag vector and that the ...
