This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Angle Calculus-Based Thrust Force Determination on the Blades of a 10 kW Wind Turbine
In this article, the behavior of the thrust force on the blades of a 10 kW wind turbine was obtained by considering the characteristic wind speed of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec. Analyzing mechanical forces is essential to efficiently and safely design the

Improvement of the Thrust Force of the ECR Ion Thruster μ10
Based on the success of the Japanese asteroid explorer Hayabusa, the ECR ion thruster μ10 will be installed in Hayabusa's successor, Hayabusa-2, and is scheduled to be commercialized for use in geostationary satellites within the next three years. To increase the thrust force of the μ10 as much as possible without major design changes, luminescence ...

Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...

Effects of Cooling Conditions and Machining Parameters on Thrust Force, Surface Roughness, and Hole Quality in Machining of Fiber Metal Laminates [PDF]
The machining of Fiber Metal Laminates (FMLs), such as glass laminate aluminum reinforced epoxy (GLARE), presents significant challenges due to the varying mechanical and thermal properties of its constituent materials.

A combined finite element and phase‐field approach predicts the evolution of microstructure during the directional solidification of Ni‐based superalloys. The model reveals how withdrawal rate, temperature gradient, and wall thickness control the dendrite spacing, highlighting the strong effect of surface regions in thin sections where dendrite growth ...
