Halide/Pseudohalide Anion Regulation of Polar Structure and Glass‐Forming Ability Toward Polar Hybrid Glass‐Ceramic

open access: yesAggregate, Volume 7, Issue 8, August 2026.
Systematic anion engineering from halide to pseudohalide (Cl− → Br− → I− → NCS−) in a family of cadmium(II)‐based organic‐inorganic hybrids drives a progressive transition from centrosymmetric to polar structure, depresses melting point, reduces fragility index, and enhances glass‐forming ability, ultimately affording a polar hybrid glass‐ceramic with ...

Tensile Stimulation in Biorelevant Culture Conditions Enhances MSC and TPSC Tenogenesis on Aligned Electrospun Scaffolds

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, Volume 6, Issue 8, August 2026.
Biomimetic electrospun scaffold incorporating GDF‐7‐loaded mesoporous silica nanoparticles, combined with mechanical stimulation and physiological oxygen tension, guides tenogenic differentiation of mesenchymal stromal cell and tendon progenitor stem cell. This integrated approach enhances cell proliferation, matrix deposition, and tendon‐specific gene

Statistically Optimized Microwave Hydrothermal Na3V2(PO4)3/C: Process‐Structure‐Performance Mapping and Post‐Mortem Degradation Diagnostics

open access: yesEcoMat, Volume 8, Issue 8, August 2026.
Statistical optimisation of microwave‐assisted hydrothermal Na3V2(PO4)3/C synthesis and electrochemical performance. ABSTRACT Scalable and lower‐severity synthesis of Na3V2(PO4)3/C (NVP/C) cathodes for sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs) remains limited by trial‐and‐error optimization of hydrothermal processing conditions.

A Solvent‐Free Synthesis of Imidazo[1,5‐a]pyridines Using CCl4 as an Oxidant

open access: yesJournal of Heterocyclic Chemistry, Volume 63, Issue 8, Page 1288-1299, August 2026.
A solvent‐free synthesis of imidazo[1,5‐a]pyridines (Impys) using CCl4 as an oxidant reagent and DBU as the base is informed. An array of Impys derived from different benzylic, heteroaryl aldehydes and others was synthesized in moderate to good yields.

Progress in Biodegradable Nonwoven Materials for Personal Protective Applications

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, Volume 311, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Personal protective equipment generates large waste streams, underscoring the need for materials that deliver protection without persistent environmental costs. This study reviews biodegradable nonwoven options and relates material choice and disposal routes to barrier performance, comfort, and footprint.
