Background and Objectives: Papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) is one of the most common malignancies of the endocrine system. In order to improve the ability to predict tumor behavior, several studies have been conducted to search for surrogate prognostic

Retinoblastoma Expression in Thyroid Neoplasms [PDF]
Retinoblastoma (Rb) mutation in thyroid neoplasia has been identified in a few molecular studies; however, the utility of Rb immunohistochemistry in distinguishing benign and malignant thyroid lesions has not been documented in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissues.

Follicular thyroid carcinoma metastatic to skin: a small papule and a big diagnostic change [PDF]
: Cutaneous metastases are uncommon in daily practice, although very important, since they may be the first manifestation of an undiscovered primary neoplasm or the first indication of recurrence.

Struma ovarii with follicular thyroid-type carcinoma and neuroendocrine component: case report
Struma ovarii (SO) is a slow-growing ovarian neoplasm with thyroid tissue as its predominant component. It is an uncommon neoplasm, usually asymptomatic with an unknown risk of malignant transformation.

Horner’s Syndrome and Thyroid Neoplasms
Although thyroid goiter is a common condition, it rarely results in Horner’s syndrome. We report a case of a patient with an intrathoracic multinodular goiter complicated by Horner’s syndrome. Benign thyroid disease was confirmed pathologically, and the patient’s symptoms improved after surgery.

Unusual Presentation of Differentiated Thyroid Cancer Metastasis
Introduction The rates of thyroid cancers are on a rise, especially well-differentiated thyroid cancers. This could be partly due to newer diagnostic modalities, like high-resolution ultrasound, that can pick up smaller lesions.

Impact of Reclassification on Thyroid Nodules with Architectural Atypia: From Non-Invasive Encapsulated Follicular Variant Papillary Thyroid Carcinomas to Non-Invasive Follicular Thyroid Neoplasm with Papillary-Like Nuclear Features. [PDF]
BACKGROUND:The follicular variant of papillary thyroid cancer (FVPTC), especially the encapsulated non-invasive subtype, is a controversial entity.

Bridging the gap: Multi‐stakeholder perspectives of molecular diagnostics in oncology
Although molecular diagnostics is transforming cancer care, implementing novel technologies remains challenging. This study identifies unmet needs and technology requirements through a two‐step stakeholder involvement. Liquid biopsies for monitoring applications and predictive biomarker testing emerge as key unmet needs. Technology requirements vary by
