Osmotic Tension Asymmetry Drives Electrotactic Migration via PDLIM7‐Polarized Microfilament Coordination in Breast Cancer Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study establishes an electric field‐induced directional migration model using fluorescence tension probes to visualize microfilament forces and intracellular osmotic pressure dynamics in the electrotactic migration of breast cancer cells. This model delineates how electromechanical interactions among membrane potential, ion channels, OP, traction ...

Complications after medullary thyroid carcinoma surgery: multicentre study of the SQRTPA and EUROCRINE® databases

open access: yesBJS (British Journal of Surgery), EarlyView., 2020
This study investigated postoperative complications after surgery for medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) in Europe. Hypoparathyroidism, recurrent laryngeal nerve palsy and bleeding requiring reoperation occurred in 170 (26·2 per cent), 62 (13·7 per cent) and 17 (2·6 per cent) patients respectively.

The value of thyroid fine needle aspiration in evaluation of follicular neoplasms

open access: yesمجله دانشگاه علوم پزشکی گرگان, 2005
Background&Objective: The presence of single or multiple nodules within the thyroid gland is a common clinical problem. It is immposible to differentiate benign and malignant follicular neoplasms in cytologic examinations.Estimation of risk of malignancy

Targeting Lactate and Lactylation in Cancer Metabolism and Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lactate, once deemed a metabolic waste, emerges as a central regulator of cancer progression. This review elucidates how lactate and its epigenetic derivative, protein lactylation, orchestrate tumor metabolism, immune suppression, and therapeutic resistance.

Halorotetin B, A Novel Terpenoid Compound Derived from Marine Ascidian, Suppresses Tumor Growth by Targeting the Cell Cycle Regulator UBE2C

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Halorotetin B, a novel small‐molecule terpenoid identified from an edible marine ascidian, exhibits strong anti‐tumor activity both in vitro and in vivo through direct targeting UBE2C to induce tumor cell cycle arrest and then lead tumor cell senescence. As a newly discovered UBE2C inhibitor, Halorotetin B can serve as a novel potential cell senescence

Primary thyroid lymphoma

open access: yesApollo Medicine, 2019
Primary thyroid lymphoma is a rare neoplasm consisting of 1%–5% of all thyroid neoplasms. These are predominantly B-cell in origin. It is curable without surgery. The literature search shows it to be presenting as rapidly developing thyroid mass.

Esketamine/Ketamine: Dual‐Action Mechanisms and Clinical Prospects beyond Anesthesia in Psychiatry, Immunology, and Oncology

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Esketamine and ketamine are widely used for perioperative analgesia and anesthesia. Despite their established roles in analgesia, sedation, and anesthesia, as well as emerging antidepressant, anti‐tumor, and anti‐inflammatory effects, their clinical use is limited due to side effects and addiction potential.

ANALYSIS OF RELATIVE EXPRESSION OF THE HMGA2 GENE AND ONCOGENIC MICRORNA-221 IN CYTOLOGICAL SLIDES OBTAINED BY A FINE-NEEDLE ASPIRATION BIOPSY OF THE THYROID NODULES

open access: yesУспехи молекулярной онкологии, 2017
Background. Fine-needle aspiration biopsy is recognized as the “gold standard” in the preoperative diagnosis of thyroid cancer. However, this method does not always allow reliable differentiation between benign and malignant thyroid nodules.
