Minimal residual disease assessment of papillary thyroid carcinoma through circulating tumor cell‐based cytology

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 11, Issue 24, Page 4830-4837, December 2022., 2022
minimal residual disease assessment in post surgery patients with papillary thyroid cancer through CTCs‐based cytology Abstract The overall estimated risk of recurrence after an apparently complete thyroid cancer resection ranges from <1% to 55%, and the high‐quality pathology report is crucial for proper risk stratification.

Central lymph node dissection and permanent hypoparathyroidism after total thyroidectomy for papillary thyroid cancer: population‐based study

open access: yesBJS (British Journal of Surgery), EarlyView., 2020
Papillary thyroid carcinoma is treated with thyroidectomy with or without central lymph node dissection (CLND). The risk of permanent hypoparathyroidism after CLND was calculated. The results that indicated that CLND is an independent risk factor for permanent hypoparathyroidism. CLND is associated with permanent hypoparathyroidism Background Papillary

Sutureless thyroidectomy

open access: yesInternational Journal of Surgery, 2014
The ultrasonic scalpel is a surgical shear that uses high-frequency mechanical energy to enable simultaneous vessel sealing and tissue coagulation at the same time. We conducted a prospective study to compare the outcome of total thyroidectomy using the ultrasonic scalpel versus the device Ligasure in terms of safety, operative time, overall drainage ...

Different FT3/TSH correlation in acquired and congenital hypothyroid patients reveals a different hypothalamic set‐point

open access: yesClinical Endocrinology, Volume 98, Issue 1, Page 117-122, January 2023., 2023
Abstract Objective To understand differences in thyroid hormone replacement therapy with levo‐thyroxine (l‐T4) between acquired and congenital hypothyroid (CH) patients. Design We compared biochemical thyroid parameters between euthyroid subjects (EU) and both CH adult patients and thyroidectomized patients (TP) under replacement therapy.
