Aseptic Sinusitis: A New Phenotype of Immune‐Related Rhinosinusitis in the Era of Immune Checkpoint Inhibitors

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 13, Issue 12, December 2025.
(A‐B) Patient 1 CT Imaging of sinuses before (A) and after (B) completing 2 months of steroid therapy for immune‐mediated sinusitis. ABSTRACT We present two novel cases of aseptic sinusitis resulting from PDL‐1 checkpoint inhibitor use. Prompt identification and diagnosis and a multidisciplinary approach with oncology and rheumatology are imperative ...

Severe Hypothyroidism‐Induced Rhabdomyolysis in the Absence of Triggering Factor

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 13, Issue 12, December 2025.
ABSTRACT Rhabdomyolysis is a rare but serious complication of hypothyroidism that can occur even in the absence of external triggers or classical symptoms. Early recognition through creatinine kinase screening in high‐risk or atypical presentations is essential to prevent complications such as acute kidney injury and thus enable timely management.

Atopic Multimorbidity in Adults With a Focus on Sensitization Patterns and T Cell Activation

open access: yesClinical and Translational Allergy, Volume 15, Issue 12, December 2025.
Our study looked at atopic dermatitis and atopic comorbidities (rhinitis, asthma) with regards to type 1 allergic sensitizations, serum IgE values and systemic T cell activation. Our results show that IgE values increase with atopic disease burden while T cell activation is rather dependent on disease activity than atopic multimorbidity.

Immunotherapy‐Related Gastritis in Small Cell Lung Cancer Treatment With Durvalumab—A Case Report

open access: yesCancer Reports, Volume 8, Issue 12, December 2025.
ABSTRACT Background Durvalumab is a PD‐L1 inhibitor that triggers a blockade resulting in enhanced anti‐tumor responses related to increased T‐cell activation. There is potential for numerous immune‐related adverse events (irAEs) with this treatment, most of which have been shown to be effectively managed with high‐dose steroids.

Advantage of Semaglutide: Comprehensive Analysis of Metabolic Impact of Semaglutide‐Treated and Pair‐Fed Rats

open access: yesComprehensive Physiology, Volume 15, Issue 6, December 2025.
Semaglutide, GLP‐1 receptor agonist, offers metabolic benefits that far outweigh those offered by comparable caloric restriction. Its mechanism of action involves hypophagia but also adipose tissue remodeling and browning. Semaglutide targeted thermogenesis via alternation in the thyroid axis and sympathetic input to BAT.
