Traveling-Wave Photomixers Based On Noncollinear Optical/Terahertz Phase-Matching [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
Traveling-wave THz photomixers based on angle-tuned optical/THz phase-matching are experimentally demonstrated. A dc-biased coplanar stripline terminated by a planar antenna is fabricated on low-temperature-grown GaAs.

High Charge Carrier Mobility in Non‐Conjugated 3D Covalent Organic Frameworks

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A non‐conjugated 3D COF constructed via boronate ester linkages from tetraphenylene and pyrene‐based monomers is reported, which exhibits a high charge carrier mobility of 14 ± 1 cm2 V−1 s−1. ABSTRACT π‐Conjugation, π–π stacking, and long‐range order play a central role in determining charge transport efficiency in organic materials.

Merging of Accidental Bound States in the Continuum in Symmetry and Symmetry-Broken Terahertz Photonic Crystal Slabs

open access: yesNanomaterials
Recently, the merging of accidental bound states in the continuum (BICs) has attracted significant attention due to the enhanced light–matter interactions.

Terahertz Modulator Using 4-N,N-Dimethylamino-4′-N′-Methyl-Stilbazolium Tosylate (DAST)/Si Hybrid Structure

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2018
Terahertz high-data communication creates numerous demands for terahertz wave amplitude modulation. Here, we experimentally demonstrate a high-speed terahertz wave modulator based on 4-N,N-dimethylamino-4'-N'-methyl-stilbazolium tosylate (DAST)/Si

Organic Crystals for THz Photonics

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
Organic crystals with second-order optical nonlinearity feature very high and ultra-fast optical nonlinearities and are therefore attractive for various photonics applications.

Probes for Ultrasensitive THz Nanoscopy [PDF]

open access: yesACS Photonics, 2019
Scattering-type scanning near-field microscopy (s-SNOM) at terahertz (THz) frequencies could become a highly valuable tool for studying a variety of phenomena of both fundamental and applied interest, including mobile carrier excitations or phase ...

One‐Dimensional Materials Supported in Two‐Dimensional Van der Waals Metal–Organic Frameworks with Optical Anisotropy Switching via Twist‐Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We introduce a molecular strategy to assemble one‐dimensional (1D) materials into two‐dimensional (2D) van der Waals metal–organic frameworks (MOFs). Crystals of [FeX(pzX)(bpy)] (X = Cl, F) form anisotropic 2D layers that can be mechanically exfoliated into thin sheets.

RS, S (+) - and R (−)-ibuprofen cocrystal polymorphs: Vibrational spectra, XRD measurement and DFT calculation studies

open access: yesHeliyon
In this paper, cocrystal polymorphs of RS-ibuprofen (RS-IBU), S (+)-ibuprofen (S(+)-IBU), R (−)-ibuprofen (R(−)-IBU) with nicotinamide (NIC) were synthesized by different methods. RS-IBU is a chiral drug with only one chiral center in the molecule, which
