THz channel modeling: Consolidating the road to THz communications
China Communications, 2021For the sake of meeting the demand of data rates at terabit (Tbit) per second scale in future networks, the terahertz (THz) band is widely accepted as one of the potential key enabling technologies for next generation wireless communication systems. With

THz communications and relations to frequency domain THz spectroscopy
2019 15th International Conference on Telecommunications (ConTEL), 2019This paper presents an overview of THz-technologies, and especially their use for communications. Different approaches on the physics of THz radiation are discussed, from the Radio Frequency (RF) perspective, as well as from the Far Infrared (FIR) optic signals’ perspective and Nano electronics’ and molecular electronics’ perspective.

THz High Field Generation, THz Coherent Spectroscopy, and THz Coherent Control
Frontiers in Optics 2007/Laser Science XXIII/Organic Materials and Devices for Displays and Energy Conversion, 2007THz pulses with over ten microjoules of energy are generated and used to drive nonlinear material responses. Nonlinear THz coherent spectroscopy and coherent control are illustrated.

THz Transceiver with 6.5 THz Bandwidth
2019 Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics Europe & European Quantum Electronics Conference (CLEO/Europe-EQEC), 2019A terahertz (THz) transceiver, containing emitter and receiver on a compact single chip, simplifies reflection measurements in THz time-domain spectroscopy (TDS) considerably [1]. This is because a collinear geometry allows for variable working distances and increases alignment tolerances.

THz and sub‐THz quantum cascade lasers
Laser & Photonics Reviews, 2009AbstractIn this paper we review recent progress in obtaining laser action from semiconductor quantum cascade structures covering the low THz region of the electromagnetic spectrum, from 2 THz (λ ≃ 155 μm) down to the sub‐THz region (λ > 300 μm).

Broadband THz filters for THz sensing devices
2012 IEEE National Aerospace and Electronics Conference (NAECON), 2012We propose a broadband filter using multi-layered frequency selective surfaces (FSS) for terahertz (THz) sensing devices. These types of filter windows are required to be placed in front of THz sensors to increase signal-to-noise ratio and reduce sensor sensitivity to mid IR and visible light.

Interference Between Coherences at 384 THz and 386.1 THz in Rb Observed at 2.1 THz
Frontiers in Optics + Laser Science 2023 (FiO, LS), 2023Interference between coherences established at 384 and 386 THz in atomic Rb (5d5/2- 5p3/2 and 5p3/2-5s1/2, respectively) is observed at the 2.1 THz difference frequency. Interaction between the two coherences is observed in the spectral domain in the form of a Fano resonance, and the characteristics of the coupled oscillator are described.

Sub-THz/THz amplification in a semiconductor superlattice
2015 40th International Conference on Infrared, Millimeter, and Terahertz waves (IRMMW-THz), 2015We examine the feasibility of amplification of the electromagnetic signal in semiconductor superlattice by moving charge domains, which are generated in superlattice by applied DC bias. We show that an external resonator connected to the semiconductor superlattice significantly broadens the frequency range of amplified signals to the higher harmonics ...
