Corrosion of Ni-Ti Rotary Instruments: A Review [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Dental Materials and Techniques, 2019
The nickel-titanium (Ni-Ti) alloys used in endodontics contain 56% Ni and 44% Ti. The 2 unique features related to clinical dentistry (i.e., shape memory effect and superelasticity) are due to the transition from austenite to martensite in Ni-Ti alloy ...

Electrical resistivity of Ti–Ni binary and Ti–Ni–X (X=Fe, Cu) ternary shape memory alloys [PDF]

open access: yesMaterials Science and Engineering: A, 2006
Abstract The electrical resistivities of Ti–Ni binary and Ti–Ni–X (X = Fe, Cu) ternary shape memory alloys (SMAs) are investigated. Experimental results reveal that the Ti–Ni and Ti–Ni–X SMAs exhibit different electrical resistivity (ρ) characteristics due to their different martensitic transformation behaviors.

Dual‐Molten‐Salt Etching Strategy Enables Built‐in Electric Field in Mo‐MXene/NiFeSe Heterostructure for Superior OER Performance

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, Volume 9, Issue 3, May 2026.
A dual‐molten‐salt etching strategy was employed to construct a built‐in electric field in the Mo‐MXene/NiFeSe heterostructure to achieve excellent oxygen evolution reaction. Transition metal selenides have emerged as potential catalysts for the oxygen evolution reaction, yet their practical implementation faces two fundamental challenges: irreversible

Effects of composition on transformation temperatures and microstructure of Ni-Ti-Hf shape memory alloys

open access: yes, 2019
High transformation temperature shape-memory alloys (HTSMA) usually present a martensitic transformation temperature (Ms) starting at 100 ºC. That is the case of high nickel Ni-Ti-Hf alloys.

Subthreshold Swing Control in IGZO TFTs Using Floating‐Gate Engineering for AMOLED Displays

open access: yesJournal of the Society for Information Display, Volume 34, Issue 5, Page 214-223, May 2026.
This study demonstrates a novel IGZO floating‐gate thin‐film transistor (FG‐TFT) enabling precise subthreshold swing (SS) modulation via layout‐defined gate coupling ratio engineering. A source‐overlapped floating‐gate structure achieves wide, linear SS tuning without increasing device footprint, enhancing low‐gray uniformity in high‐resolution AMOLED ...

Observation of Precipitation Evolution in Fe-Ni-Mn-Ti-Al Maraging Steel by Atom Probe Tomography

open access: yes, 2009
We describe the full decomposition sequence in an Fe-Ni-Mn-Ti-Al maraging steel during isothermal annealing at 550 °C. Following significant pre-precipitation clustering reactions within the supersaturated martensitic solid solution, (Ni,Fe)3Ti and (Ni ...
