Robot-Assisted Kyphoplasty Improves Clinical and Radiological Features Better Than Fluoroscopy-Assisted Kyphoplasty in the Treatment of Vertebral Compression Fractures: A Meta-Analysis

open access: yesFrontiers in Surgery, 2022
PurposeThis meta-analysis aimed to determine whether patients treated with robot-assisted kyphoplasty for vertebral compression fractures have superior clinical and radiographic improvement than those treated with fluoroscopy.MethodsA comprehensive ...

Initial Cenozoic Exhumation of the Northern Chinese Tian Shan Deduced from Apatite (U-Th)/He Thermochronological Data

open access: yesLithosphere, 2022
The present topography of Tian Shan is related to the India-Asia collision, whereas the mechanisms for the topographic growth of Tian Shan remain at the center of debate partly due to the poorly constrained onset timing of the Cenozoic tectonic ...

Cylindrically and toroidally symmetric solutions with a cosmological constant

open access: yes, 2010
Cylindrical-like coordinates for constant-curvature 3-spaces are introduced and discussed. This helps to clarify the geometrical properties, the coordinate ranges and the meaning of free parameters in the static vacuum solution of Linet and Tian.

Evaluating the Tubridge™ flow diverter for large cavernous carotid artery aneurysms

open access: yesChinese Neurosurgical Journal, 2020
Background The Tubridge™ flow diverter (TFD) was recently developed in China; however, its safety and efficacy in treating large cavernous carotid artery aneurysms (LCCAs) are unclear.

Hypometabolic patterns of focal cortical dysplasia in PET-MRI co-registration imaging: a retrospective evaluation in a series of 83 patients

open access: yesFrontiers in Neuroscience, 2023
ObjectiveTo characterize the PET-MRI co-registration of hypometabolic patterns in focal cortical dysplasia (FCD) types I and II and provide some suggestions in presurgical evaluation of epilepsy surgery.MethodsWe retrospectively analyzed PET-MRI co ...

A Note on the Symplectic Structure on the Dressing Group in the sinh--Gordon Model

open access: yes, 1996
We analyze the symplectic structure on the dressing group in the \shG\, model by calculating explicitly the Poisson bracket $\{g\x g\}$ where $g$ is the \dg\, element which creates a generic one soliton solution from the vacuum.

Rong Tian [PDF]

open access: yesCirculation Research, 2017
Metabolism research has seen a great burst of popularity in recent years: scientists and doctors are investigating its role not just in obesity and diabetes mellitus but also in cancer growth and heart disease. There was a time though, not so long ago, when the field was distinctly out of fashion.

Quantitative proteomic analysis reveals different characteristics of bladder cancer cells after exposure to bisphenol A

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Bisphenol A (BPA), a common chemical in plastics, exerts dual effects on bladder cancer cells: low doses promote growth and migration, while high doses suppress growth and migration. Multi‐omics and bioinformatics reveal BPA acts via MAPK and inflammatory pathways.

Real matrix representations for the complex quaternions

open access: yes, 2013
Starting from known results, due to Y. Tian in [Ti; 00], referring to the real matrix representations of the real quaternions, in this paper we will investigate the left and right real matrix representations for the complex quaternions and we give some ...

Large‐scale bidirectional arrayed genetic screens identify OXR1 and EMC4 as modifiers of αSynuclein aggregation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.
