Comparable Maintenance of Tibial Slope in Two High Tibial Osteotomy Techniques
Objectives: High tibial osteotomies (HTO) are commonly performed to correct coronal malalignment in young, active patients who have concomitant cartilage lesions and/or cruciate ligament insufficiency. An unintended change of native tibial slope can negatively affect both the strain on reconstructed cruciate ligaments and the contact forces on ...

Diabetic bone marrow exhibits pathological ECM hyperviscosity that activates TRPV2‐mediated Ca2⁺ influx, leading to perinuclear F‐actin disassembly, nuclear deformation, and chromatin condensation. This cytoskeletal‐nuclear decoupling suppresses osteogenic differentiation of BMSCs.

The study shows that noncardiac surgical inflammation rapidly disrupts HDL function and cholesterol efflux in mice and human patients. Impaired reverse cholesterol transport after surgery drives rapid lipid accumulation, NETosis, and apoptosis within atherosclerotic plaques.

Evaluation of the accuracy of a patient-specific instrumentation [PDF]
Patient-specific instruments (PSI) has been introduced with the aim to reduce the overall costs of the implants, minimizing the size and number of instruments required, and also reducing surgery time.

ASSESSMENT OF TIBIAL SLOPE ANGLE AND PATELLAR HEIGHT AFTER MEDIAL-OPENING TIBIAL OSTEOTOMY
To measure the variation in posterior tibial slope angle and patellar height in patients who underwent proximal tibial valgus-producing osteotomy using the medial-opening wedge technique.Anteroposterior panoramic radiographs of the lower limbs and lateral radiographs of the knee obtained before and after tibial valgus-producing osteotomy on 46 patients

The loss of Ubiquitin Specific Peptidase 26 (USP26) in osteoblasts results in decreased bone formation, as well as multi‐organ fibrosis associated with insulin resistance (IR). Mechanistically, the absence of USP26 reduces glycolysis and lactate accumulation, leading to decreased histone H3 lysine 18 lactylation (H3K18LA) in the promoter region of KH ...

Introduction: Research has suggested that rotating a medial open wedge high tibial osteotomy hinge axis internally or externally can change the posterior tibial slope and may create abnormal loading patterns through the tibia.
