Memory performance of and-parallel prolog on shared-memory architectures [PDF]

open access: yes, 1988
The goal of the RAP-WAM AND-parallel Prolog abstract architecture is to provide inference speeds significantly beyond those of sequential systems, while supporting Prolog semantics and preserving sequential performance and storage efficiency. This paper

Advancing Electronic Application of Coordination Solids: Enhancing Electron Transport and Device Integration via Surface‐Mounted MOFs (SURMOFs)

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The layer‐by‐layer (LbL) assembly of coordination solids, enabled by the surface‐mounted metal‐organic framework (SURMOF) platform, is on the cusp of generating the organic counterpart of the epitaxy of inorganics. The programmable and sequential SURMOF protocol, optimized by machine learning (ML), is suited for accessing high‐quality thin films of ...

Metal Nanoclusters for Cancer Imaging and Treatment

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review aims to provide a comprehensive summary and discussion of the core–shell design capabilities of metal nanoclusters (NCs) at the atomic level for cancer imaging and treatment. It offers essential insights into the design principles of metal NCs while also encouraging the exploration of other nanomaterials and their potential theranostic ...

Persistent self-reported health complaints in Norwegians who attribute their symptoms to tick bites or tick-borne disease– a cross-sectional controlled study

open access: yesBMC Infectious Diseases
Background The frequency and mechanisms of persistent health complaints attributed to tick bites or tick-borne diseases are unknown. We evaluate such complaints in Norwegian cases and controls.

Tunable Synthetic Hydrogel Modulates Hepatic Lineage Specification of Human Liver Organoid

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, a synthetic hydrogel is reported that supports the formation of hiPSC‐derived human liver organoids (HLOs). Hepatic lineage specification can be modulated via conjugation of RGD peptide to hydrogel: RGD‐conjugated hydrogels promote cholangiocyte differentiation, whereas RGD‐free hydrogels favor hepatocyte commitment of HLO cells.

Quasi maximum likelihood estimation and prediction in the compound Poisson ECOGARCH(1,1) model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
This paper deals with the problem of estimation and prediction in a compound Poisson ECOGARCH(1,1) model. For this we construct a quasi maximum likelihood estimator under the assumption that all jumps of the log-price process are observable.

High‐Concentration Mesogen‐Assisted Exfoliation of Low‐Dimensional Nanomaterials for Achieving Ultralow‐Temperature Actuations of Liquid Crystal Elastomers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Most matter is nominally frozen in the polar regions or space, and liquid crystal materials are no exception. Consequently, soft actuators, including liquid crystal elastomers (LCEs), are inoperative under such extreme cold in response to stimuli, as their motion relies on mechanical deformation.

Cloning, and Molecular Characterization of Polymorphic Iranian Isolate Theileria annulata Surface Protein (Tasp)

open access: yesIranian Journal of Parasitology, 2012
Background: Because of the strong immunologic responses of surface protein TaSp in Theileria annulata infected host, we tried to characterize this protein in a T. annulata isolate from Iran. Methods: The RNA prepared from T. annulata infected cells was
