Cold EI—The Way to Improve GC‐MS and Increase Its Range of Applications

open access: yesMass Spectrometry Reviews, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Gas chromatography‐mass spectrometry (GC‐MS) with Cold electron ionization (EI) is based on interfacing the GC and MS with a supersonic molecular beam (SMB) along with electron ionization of vibrationally cold sample compounds in the SMB in a contact‐free fly‐through ion source (hence the name Cold EI).

Health‐Related Quality of Life in Relation to the 5‐2‐1 Criteria in Parkinson's Disease in Sweden

open access: yesMovement Disorders Clinical Practice, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Device‐aided therapies (DAT) offer alternatives to oral or transdermal dopaminergic treatments in advanced Parkinson's disease (PD), where they can reduce motor fluctuations and dyskinesia and improve health‐related quality of life (HRQoL).

The Unseen Burden: Uncovering Shame and Its Determinants in Parkinson's Disease

open access: yesMovement Disorders Clinical Practice, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Shame is frequent in Parkinson's disease (PD) and often overlooked. Objective The aim was to assess factors associated with PD‐related shame. Methods PD‐related shame was measured using the Shame and Embarrassment in PD (SPARK) scale in patients without cognitive impairment.

High Genetic Diagnostic Yield for Patients with Rare Movement Disorders at a Single‐Center Neurogenetics Clinic

open access: yesMovement Disorders Clinical Practice, EarlyView.
Abstract Background As advanced molecular testing is incorporated into routine clinical practice, accessibility and yield remain limited. Objectives We propose a simplified and effective workup strategy to maximize diagnostic yield based on presented diagnostic yield of rare movement disorders at a tertiary Neurogenetics Clinic.
