Dataset for concurrent echosounder and ADCP measurements at a tidal energy candidate site in Australia

open access: yesData in Brief, 2020
Interaction uncertainties between tidal energy devices and marine animals have the potential to impede the tidal energy industry as it moves closer towards commercial-scale array installations. Developing standardised environmental impact assessment (EIA)

Innovative on-Shore System recovering Energy from Tidal Currents

open access: yesEnergy Procedia, 2017
Abstract An innovative system for the recovering of energy from tidal currents is proposed. The system is composed of a blade submerged in sea waters and connected to a vertical bar which, moving up and down through the tide action, transfers energy to a double effect piston pump.

A Pathology‐Instructed Theranostic Platform with Mechanoadaptive and ROS‐Powered Nanobreathing Functions for Precision Myocardial Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We developed a pH responsive theranostic serum albumin hydrogel named BST, functionalized with MRI and CT probes and loaded with mitochondria targeted CAT‐SOD nanogels, that rapidly self repairs and mechanically stabilizes the infarcted myocardium, releases therapeutic nanogels and albumin under hypoxia induced acidosis to clear mitochondrial ROS ...

The downstream wake response of marine current energy converters operating in shallow tidal flows [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
This paper presents findings from an experimental study investigating the downstream wake response from marine current energy convertors operating in various degrees of vertical flow constraint. The paper investigates deep vertically unconstrained sites,

Inhalable ROS‐Responsive Nanospray Activates PPAR‐γ to Restore Macrophage Mitochondrial Homeostasis and Attenuate Radiation‐Induced Lung Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A nebulized nanoassembly alleviates radiation‐induced lung injury by reprogramming macrophages through coordinated ROS scavenging, NAD+ replenishment, and PPAR‐γ activation. Redox balance, mitochondrial homeostasis, and immune regulation are restored, revealing a microenvironment‐centered strategy for localized radioprotection.
