Nesting ecology of an ice‐associated seabird, Kittlitz's murrelet, at the northern edge of its range

open access: yesWildlife Society Bulletin, EarlyView.
We studied the Kittlitz's murrelet, an ice‐associated seabird of conservation concern, at the northern edge of its range. Over a 2‐year period, we estimated nest density and success at 2 sites, captured and telemetered nesting murrelets, and tested the use of a thermal camera to improve nest detection.

Modeling Tidal Disruptions with Dynamical Tides

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Tidal disruption events (TDEs) occur when stars pass close enough to supermassive black holes to be torn apart by tidal forces. Traditionally, these events are studied with computationally intensive hydrodynamical simulations. In this paper, we present a

Optimising Wave Energy Plant Location Through Neutrosophic Multi‐Criteria Group Decision‐Making

open access: yesCAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The global shift towards sustainable energy has intensified research into renewable sources, particularly wave energy. Pakistan, with its long coastline, holds significant potential for wave energy development. However, identifying optimal locations for wave energy plants involves evaluating complex, multi‐faceted criteria.

Multiterminal High‐Voltage Direct Current Projects: A Comprehensive Assessment and Future Prospects

open access: yesHigh Voltage, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Multiterminal high‐voltage direct current (MT‐HVDC) systems are an important part of modern power systems, addressing the need for bulk power delivery and efficient renewable energy integration. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of recent advances in MT‐HVDC technology, including launched projects and ongoing initiatives.

The Influence of Central Body Tides on Catastrophic Disruptions of Close-in Planetary Satellites

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
We model the outcomes of catastrophic disruptions on small, gravity-dominated natural satellites, accounting for the tidal potential of the central body, which is neglected in classical disruption scaling laws. We introduce the concept of ${Q}_{\,\rm{TD}\
