On the chilling requirement of dormant buds of Tilia platyphyllos. SCOP.1)1)Dem Gedenken an Dr. Dr. h. c. Bruno Huber, dem verstorbenen Nestor der Physiologie der Waldbäume, gewidmet.

Biochemie und Physiologie der Pflanzen, 1970
Summary 1. Dormancy of Tilia platyphyllos can be broken by cold treatment for about 900 hours in the open (temperatures between 0° and +5 °C). After chilling at constant temperatures (+3 °C) in a dark climate chamber normal growth started at 980 hours, but maximal shoot elongation was achieved at first after 1250 hours.
