A variant of Tile Pasting P system for tiling patterns
2010 IEEE Fifth International Conference on Bio-Inspired Computing: Theories and Applications (BIC-TA), 2010Pasting Systems, Tile Pasting P Systems and their variants are syntactic methods to generate tiling patterns and tessellation using simple rules of gluing tiles at their edges. In this paper new models namely, tissue-like, evolution-conditional communication tile pasting P system (t-ECCTPPS) and Parametric Tile Pasting P Systems (PTPPS) and its variant

Tile Pasting Systems for Tessellation and Tiling Patterns
2010Pasting System (PS) and Extended Pasting Scheme (EPS) are new techniques to generate tiling patterns by using pasting rules for gluing tiles at their edges. In this paper we introduce a Tabled Pasting System (TPS) based on the technique of suitably grouping the rules of a pasting system into different sets of rules.

Acoustic and thermal performances of ceramic tiles and tiling systems
Ceramics International, 2015Abstract Acoustic and thermal performances of floating floor and/or radiant floor can be improved by using ceramic tiles with tailored porosity and microstructure. Porcelain stonewares are still the most widespread typology of tiles, due to their high physical and mechanical performances coming from a very low level of open porosity and water ...

Tile Pasting P System Constructing Homeogonal Tiling
2020Two dimensional tiling of the plane are constructed using a distributed computing model, namely Tile Pasting P System (TPPS) where rules are used to glue the tiles together in a hierarchically arranged membrane regions. The present study focuses on the generation of Homeogonal family of tiling with the bio inspired computing model TPPS.

Tiling on systems with communication/computation overlap
Concurrency: Practice and Experience, 1999In the framework of fully permutable loops, thing is a compiler technique (also known as 'loop blocking') that has been extensively studied as a source-to-source program transformation. Little work has been devoted to the mapping and scheduling of the tiles on to physical parallel processors.

Tile transition systems as structured coalgebras?
1999The aim of this paper is to investigate the relation between two models of concurrent systems: tile rewrite systems and coalgebras. Tiles are rewrite rules with side effects which are endowed with operations of parallel and sequential composition and synchronization. Their models can be described as monoidal double categories.

A practical and flexible tiled display system
10th Pacific Conference on Computer Graphics and Applications, 2002. Proceedings., 2003Computer graphics and high-resolution digital imagery are becoming increasingly pervasive in communities not traditionally associated with graphics. Commodity graphics cards and digital cameras, along with powerful modeling software, allow organizations such as libraries, museums, and small businesses to produce expressive and realistic computer ...

Triangular Tile Self-assembly Systems
2011We discuss theoretical aspects of the self-assembly of triangular tiles; in particular, right triangular tiles and equilateral triangular tiles. Contrary to intuition, we show that triangular tile assembly systems and square tile assembly systems are not comparable in general.

Tiling Rectangular Pictures with P Systems
2004We introduce a class of two-dimensional tiling languages which are distinct from the local and recognizable picture languages. These languages arise from tilings of the integer lattice Z 2. For such picture languages, we define a class of tissue-like P systems with active membranes as a generative device.
