Quasicrystalline 30° twisted bilayer graphene: fractal patterns and electronic localization properties

open access: yesFrontiers in Carbon
The recently synthesized 30° twisted bilayer graphene (30°-TBG) systems are unique quasicrystal systems possessing dodecagonal symmetry with graphene’s relativistic properties.

Exotic pairing state in quasicrystalline superconductors under a magnetic field

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2019
We theoretically study the effect of a magnetic field on quasicrystalline superconductors, by modeling them as an attractive Hubbard model on a Penrose-tiling structure.

Motion planner for a Tetris-inspired reconfigurable floor cleaning robot

open access: yesInternational Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems, 2020
Coverage path planning technique is an essential ingredient in every floor cleaning robotic systems. Even though numerous approaches demonstrate the benefits of conventional coverage motion planning techniques, they are mostly limited to fixed ...

Phason elasticity of a three-dimensional quasicrystal: transfer-matrix method

open access: yes, 1995
We introduce a new transfer matrix method for calculating the thermodynamic properties of random-tiling models of quasicrystals in any number of dimensions, and describe how it may be used to calculate the phason elastic properties of these models, which

On a Fragment of AMSO and Tiling Systems.

open access: yes, 2016
We prove that satisfiability over infinite words is decidable for a fragment of asymptotic monadic second-order logic. In this fragment we only allow formulae of the form "exists t forall s exists r: phi(r,s,t)", where phi does not use quantifiers over number variables, and variables r and s can be only used simultaneously, in subformulae of the form s

On‐Surface Indigo‐Based Bimolecular Coordination Networks with Programmable Regular or Vitreous Structure

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 43, 29 May 2026.
A previously unreported coordination motif stabilising single Fe atoms by indigo chelation and pyridyl coordination on Au(111) has been revealed. By using planar tritopic pyridyl linkers (TPyB), extended 2D porous networks of indigo3(TPyB)2Fe6 form. These networks can be crystalline or vitreous and offer an environment where individual coordination ...

Quantum Spectra of Triangular Billiards on the Sphere

open access: yes, 2000
We study the quantal energy spectrum of triangular billiards on a spherical surface. Group theory yields analytical results for tiling billiards while the generic case is treated numerically.

High‐Resolution and Real‐Time In Situ Generation of Cellular Spheroids by Laser‐Assisted Bioprinting for Guided Microvascularization

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Micro‐injection laser‐assisted bioprinting enables ultrafast and precise patterning of small endothelial cell spheroids by injecting a highly concentrated single‐cell suspension into GelMA/ColMA hydrogels. In co‐culture with fibroblasts, controlled pre‐vasculogenic network formation is obtained at microscale resolution.
