Elevated atmospheric CO2 concentration triggers redistribution of nitrogen to promote tillering in rice

open access: yesPlant-Environment Interactions, 2021
Elevated atmospheric CO2 concentration (eCO2) often reduces nitrogen (N) content in rice plants and stimulates tillering. However, there is a general consensus that reduced N would constrain rice tillering.

Tillering behavior in Oryza sativa L. VI. The tillering behavior at late tillering stage.

open access: yesJapanese Journal of Crop Science, 1989
The tillering behavior of rice plants (1 plant/pot) at the late tillering stage was investigated. Assuming plant growth in which a leaf of each tiller and a leaf of the main stem expand synchronously (synchronous growth), we made a growth curve of tiller number which we called a 'synchronous growth curve (SGC).

Tillering dynamics of Tanzania guinea grass under nitrogen levels and plant densities=Dinâmica de perfilhamento do capim-tanzânia sob doses de nitrogênio e densidades de plantas [PDF]

open access: yesActa Scientiarum: Animal Sciences, 2012
This study evaluated the influence of nitrogen levels (N) and plant density (D) on the tillering dynamics of Tanzania guinea grass (Panicum maximum Jacq.).

Exogenous Hormonal Application Regulates the Occurrence of Wheat Tillers by Changing Endogenous Hormones

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2018
Plant hormones play important roles in regulating the occurrence of crop tillers. However, little is known about the relationships and the underlying mechanisms between endogenous hormones and the occurrence of wheat tillers induced by exogenous hormones.

Development of axillary shoot in tillering and no-tillering maize plants.

open access: yesJapanese Journal of Crop Science, 1987
Development of all axillary shoots was investigated using tillering cultivars (delegated by cv. Longfellow) and no-tillering cultivars (delegated by cv. Yellow Dent) in maize. There was a buttress or axillary bud with only prophyll at the axil just above the topmost fertile ear node in both cultivars (Figs. 1, 2), but this did not develop any more (Fig.

Bootstrap Approximation to Prediction MSE for State-Space Models with Estimated Parameters

open access: yes, 2004
We propose a simple but general bootstrap method for estimating the Prediction Mean Square Error (PMSE) of the state vector predictors when the unknown model parameters are estimated from the observed series.

Capim-braquiária sob lotação contínua e com altura única ou variável durante as estações do ano: morfogênese e dinâmica de tecidos Signalgrass under continuous stocking with fixed or variable height during the seasons: morphogenesis and dynamics of tissues

Produção e qualidade de azevém-anual submetido a adubação nitrogenada sob pastejo por cordeiros Production and quality of annual ryegrass submitted to nitrogen fertilization under grazing by lambs

Microbiome−host proteostasis crosstalk—An emerging perspective on mechanisms and interventions toward healthy longevity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Proteostasis and the gut microbiota play a key role in shaping host physiology. Microbiota‐derived metabolites, vitamins, and RNA modulate host proteostasis. Findings from model systems, including C. elegans, indicate microbes can either stabilize or disrupt host proteostasis.
