Methodology of isoproterenol-tilt table testing in patients with syncope
To assess the impact of isoproterenol, duration of tilt, symptom development and hemodynamic changes on the outcome of tilt table tests, 100 patients with syncope underwent successive 80 degrees head-up tilt for 10 min during infusions of 0, 2 and 5 micrograms/min of isoproterenol.

ABSTRACT Background Stroke is a leading cause of long‐term disability in adults, with upper limb hemiparesis being a common impairment. Traditional training is mostly aimed at paralyzed limbs, but the effect of bilateral training is still unclear.

In storage rings, horizontal dispersion in the rf cavities introduces horizontal-longitudinal (xz) coupling, contributing to beam tilt in the xz plane. This coupling can be characterized by a "crabbing" dispersion term {\zeta}a that appears in the normal

Metabolic Consequences of Rheumatoid Arthritis
Patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) may have metabolic disruption, which can contribute to adverse long‐term outcomes, for multiple reasons. Patients with RA appear to have a higher risk of sarcopenia, type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus, metabolic syndrome, and hypertension. Systemic inflammation in RA can cause a “lipid paradox,” with reduced low‐

Age and the head-up tilt test outcome in syncope patients
Background: The head-up tilt test (HUTT) is a useful diagnostic tool for syncope. Objectives: We sought to investigate the outcome of the HUTT in syncope patients and identify the relationship between age and different hemodynamic outcomes.

Summary Data‐driven forecasting of ship motions in waves is investigated through feedforward and recurrent neural networks as well as dynamic mode decomposition. The goal is to predict future ship motion variables based on past data collected on the field, using equation‐free approaches.

CMBfit: Rapid WMAP likelihood calculations with normal parameters
We present a method for ultra-fast confrontation of the WMAP cosmic microwave background observations with theoretical models, implemented as a publicly available software package called CMBfit, useful for anyone wishing to measure cosmological ...

The Role of the Baroreflex in Tilt Table Testing
The purpose of this study was to better understand the role of the baroreflex in tilt-induced vasovagal syncope (VVS).The role of the baroreflex in tilt-induced VVS remains controversial. The authors hypothesized that: 1) patients with positive tilt table test (TTT) results have greater baroreflex gain (BRG) compared with patients with negative TTT ...

Neural Network Adaptive Control With Long Short‐Term Memory
ABSTRACT In this study, we propose a novel adaptive control architecture that provides dramatically better transient response performance compared to conventional adaptive control methods. This is accomplished by the synergistic employment of a traditional adaptive neural network (ANN) controller and a long short‐term memory (LSTM) network.
