Determination of Attack Angle and Tilt Angle of a Cutting Pick
Advanced Materials Research, 2013Mechanical excavators play an important role in mining and construction. An excavation machine cuts rocks using its cutterhead which is normally composed of a large number of cutting picks. These picks are installed on a drum with certain attack angles, tilt angles and skew angles. These angles, especially attack and tilt angles, will affect the forces

Design of Tilt Angle Measurement System
Advanced Materials Research, 2012For the purpose of inclination measurement and monitoring, a tilt angle measurement system using a heat convection accelerometer is presented in this study. A conditioning circuit that center around the single chip processor is designed and built. Experiments were carried out to characterize the measuring system with the range of-90° to +90°.

The downward continuation of the tilt angle
Near Surface Geophysics, 2016ABSTRACTThe tilt angle filter can be used both to enhance images of aeromagnetic data and as the basis of semi‐automatic interpretation methods. For vertically magnetised and vertically dipping contacts, rescaling by factor is equivalent to computing from sources with all depths decreased by a factor .

Omniphobic Metal Surfaces with Low Contact Angle Hysteresis and Tilt Angles
Langmuir, 2018Various metal (Al, Ti, Fe, Ni, and Cu) surfaces with native oxide layers were rendered "omniphobic" by a simple thermal treatment of neat liquid trimethylsiloxy-terminated polymethylhydrosiloxanes (PMHSs) with a range of different molecular weights (MWs). Because of this treatment, the PMHS chains were covalently attached to the oxidized metal surfaces,

Calibration method of tilt and azimuth angles for alignment of TEM tomographic tilt series
Review of Scientific Instruments, 2011This paper describes the calibration method of the tilt and azimuth angles of specimen using a digital protractor and a laser autocollimator for alignment of electron tomography. It also suggests an easy method to check whether the specimen is tilted by 180.0°, and whether the azimuth angle is 0.0°; the method involves the use of two images of a rod ...

Guiding sleeve tilt angle in paralleling instruments
Journal of Oral Rehabilitation, 1984SummaryTo investigate the guiding sleeve tilt angle in paralleling instruments, the diameter of guiding sleeves and drill shanks were measured for a number of instrument makes and Spirko type drill makes. Significant diameter differences between makes were found for drills as well as for sleeves.

The bicondylo-patellar angle as a measure of patellar tilting
Archives of Orthopaedic and Traumatic Surgery, 1980The patellar tilting was never studied quantitatively. The author proposes the angle formed by the transverse axis of the patella and the tangent of the two condyles drawn on an axial X-ray picture of the knee (Bicondylo-Patellar Angle) as its measure and shows that in series of 24 normal knees the patella decreases its tilting from full extension to ...

[Tilting angle of the scapula].
Nihon Seikeigeka Gakkai zasshi, 1984The shoulder joint has the most freedom of range of motion in the human body. This joint is composed of the gleno-humeral joint, the acromio-clavicular joint, the sterno-clavicular joint and the scapulo-thoracic articulation. The scapula has a very important role in the scapulo-humeral rhythm in the shoulder motions, but the scapular position could be ...
