Optimization of Tilt Angle of a PV System to Get Maximum Generated Power: a Case Study

open access: yesKurdistan Journal of Applied Research, 2020
The amount of solar irradiance falls onto photovoltaic (PV) panels depends highly on the tilt angle between the panels and the horizontal plane. Therefore, this angle must be chosen carefully so that the panels can absorb the largest possible amount of ...

Inter-hemispheric asymmetry of dependence of the cusp location on dipole tilt during northward IMF conditions [PDF]

open access: yesAnnales Geophysicae, 2012
A data set of the Cluster cusp crossings over a 5-year period is studied for the interhemispheric comparison of the dipole tilt angle effect on the latitude of the mid-altitude cusp.

Seasonal Optimum Tilt Angle of Solar Panels for 100 Cities in the World

open access: yesAl-Mustansiriyah Journal of Science, 2023
Solar energy is the most abundant renewable energy source. This energy can be converted directly into electricity using solar panels. The fixed tilt solar panels are the most practical and the most widely installed throughout the world.

Tilt effects in optical angle measurements

open access: yesJournal of Research of the National Institute of Standards and Technology, 1993
Vector analysis is used to determine the quantitative error in angle calibration using autoeollimators. This error is caused by tilt in the mount upon which the artifact is placed. For tilt angles that are less than 1°, the error can be simplified to be the product of a eoeffieient and three terms.

Conserved structural motifs in PAS, LOV, and CRY proteins regulate circadian rhythms and are therapeutic targets

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cryptochrome and PAS/LOV proteins play intricate roles in circadian clocks where they act as both sensors and mediators of protein–protein interactions. Their ubiquitous presence in signaling networks has positioned them as targets for small‐molecule therapeutics. This review provides a structural introduction to these protein families.

The Influence of the Tool Tilt Angle on the Heat Generation and the Material Behavior in Friction Stir Welding (FSW)

open access: yesMetals, 2022
To improve the accuracy of numerical simulation of friction stir welding (FSW) process, the tool tilt angle must be considered as a significant parameter.

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Forward polishing process planning of aero-engine blisk blade

open access: yesXibei Gongye Daxue Xuebao, 2023
The surface roughness can be reduced by increasing the forward-tilt angle of polishing process. It is of great significance to explore the influence law of the forward-tilt angle on the quality of the polished surface to improve the polishing efficiency ...

Vortex Lines or Vortex-Line Chains at the Lower Critical Field in Anisotropic Superconductors?

open access: yes, 2000
The vortex state at the lower critical field, H_{c1}, in clean anisotropic superconductors placed in an external field tilted with respect to the axis of anisotropy (c-axis) is considered assuming two possible arrangements: dilute vortex-lines or dilute ...

Theoretical Study on the Detection of Tilted Lipid Bilayers Using Surface Plasmon Resonance Techniques [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Effective refractive indices detected using surface plasmon resonance techniques are calculated as a function of the tilt angle of lipid bilayers in a multilayered model.
