Tilt angles of schooling penned saithe [PDF]
Saithe (Pollachius virens) of nearly uniform 32 cm length have been photographically observed during the daytime in an apparently free-swimming and schooling state in a pen of dimensions 90 m length, 10 m width, and 7 m depth. The resulting tilt angle distribution is essentially normal, with mean -0.9 deg and standard deviation 5.4 deg.

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

Twice: a tilting angle amplification system for parallel robots [PDF]
Twice (tilling device with wide capacity), a new amplification device able to double the tilting angle of a parallel mechanism, is presented. A singularity analysis is carried out: it proves that Twice can give a huge tilting angle to parallel kinematic machines. Finally, practical implementation features are discussed.

This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

Optimization of the Tilt Angle of Solar Panels for Seven Cities in Türkiye
Türkiye occupies a crucial position in harnessing solar energy due to its solar radiation and duration of exposure to the sun. To maximize energy yield from solar power, photovoltaic panels must be inclined at an optimum angle relative to the sun’s ...

Tilt Angle Adaptation in LTE Networks with Advanced Interference Mitigation [PDF]
In this paper we investigate the role of tilt angle adjustment in next generation LTE networks where SIMO receivers and adaptive OFDM/TDMA transmission scheduling may additionally be used to mitigate interference.
