Endoscopic Pan/Tilt Camera for Thorax Interventions – Design and first results
Minimally invasive surgery in some cases suffers from a limited view because certain areas are obscured by others. In this paper, a system is described, which can be used in minimally invasive procedures as an addition to a standard endoscope to improve ...

Depth Estimation Based on Pyramid Normalized Cross-Correlation Algorithm for Vergence Control
A depth estimation algorithm based on vergence vision using a mechanical joint attached to two cameras is proposed. A Gaussian pyramid template-matching approach is used to align the view of the slave camera to the fixation point of the master camera ...

A UV‐crosslinkable soft anisotropic conductive film (ACF) provides high‐resolution, room‐temperature electrical interfacing. Upon UV exposure, azide crosslinkers within the ACF matrix form covalent bonds with a wide range of C–H‐containing materials, resulting in interfaces that are both mechanically durable and electrically reliable.

Guided by the golden ratio, a class of aperiodic architected metamaterials is introduced to address the intrinsic trade‐off between strength and toughness. By unifying local geometric heterogeneity with global order, the golden‐ratio‐guided aperiodic architecture promotes spatial delocalization of damage tolerence regions, leading to more tortuous ...

Evaluation of trackers for Pan-Tilt-Zoom Scenarios
Tracking with a Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) camera has been a research topic in computer vision for many years. Compared to tracking with a still camera, the images captured with a PTZ camera are highly dynamic in nature because the camera can perform large ...
