Microfluidic electro‐viscoelastic manipulation of extracellular vesicles
The electro‐viscoelastic manipulation as a potential method for separation of particles based on size. The particles introduced as a sheath flow migrate to the channel center under the influence of simultaneously applied electric field and pressure driven flow.

Tilt was used physiologically, 1930s–1970s, becoming a clinical diagnostic test for syncope in 1980s. Tilt has been criticized recently for failing to discriminate between reflex and more sinister syncope. Studies on possible benefit of pacing for older reflex syncope patients (2012–2014) yielded unexpected results.

BCS1L‐Associated Disease: 5′‐UTR Variant Shifts the Phenotype Towards Axonal Neuropathy
ABSTRACT Objectives To investigate the consequences of a pathogenic missense variant (c.838C>T; p.L280F) and a 5′‐UTR regulatory variant (c.‐122G>T) in BCS1L on disease pathogenesis and to understand how regulatory variants influence disease severity and clinical presentation.

Spatial Spectrum Analysis of Wave-Front Correction with a Segmented Mirror [PDF]
An expression is derived for the spatial power spectrum of wave-front errors after correction with a segmented mirror. This includes estimates of the spectral contributions of segment piston and tilt corrections and spatial aliasing by a regular array of

Heart rate variability analysis during head-up tilt test predicts nitroglycerine-induced syncope
Objective The aim of this study was to determine whether or not heart rate variability (HRV) analysis during the first 20 min of head-up tilt testing could predict whether patients will develop syncope after nitroglycerine administration.

Tilt-table testing as a predictor of + GZ tolerance [PDF]
G-tolerance assessment is an essential element of both military pilot and pilot candidate evaluation.Attempt at prediction of individual relaxed + Gz tolerance on the basis of head-up tilt (HUT) testing. In two stages, 20 healthy men at the mean age 21.5 years took part in this study.

ABSTRACT Objective The cervical spinal cord (cSC) is highly relevant to clinical dysfunction in multiple sclerosis (MS) but remains understudied using quantitative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). We assessed magnetization transfer ratio (MTR), a semi‐quantitative MRI measure sensitive to MS‐related tissue microstructural changes, in the cSC and its ...

Distortion of Infall Regions in Redshift Space-I
We show that spherical infall models (SIMs) can better describe some galaxy clusters in redshift slice space than in traditional axially-convolved projection space.

Multimodal Autonomic Biomarkers Predict Phenoconversion in Pure Autonomic Failure
ABSTRACT Background Pure autonomic failure (PAF) presents with autonomic failure without other neurological features. A third develop central neurological features, fulfilling criteria for multiple system atrophy (MSA) and Lewy body diseases (LBD), including Parkinson's disease and Dementia with Lewy bodies.
